One Picture and One Story #46

This is already the second day of August, 2024 and yesterday which was the first day of August, 2024 was a very busy day in the entire states in my country Nigeria. Protest is currently going on and everywhere is hot, my country isn't a good country at all, our government is very bad and this is really affecting us so much. I thank @suboohi for organizing this contest.

Nigeria is known to be the giant of Africa but yet the country is a very poor country and is incapable to satisfy few of the needs of her citizens. This country is very popular all over the world and alot are really happening. So many people have killed themselves just because they can't bear the hardship of the country, we had election last year and everyone tried their best to vote Mr. Peter Obi who's a very good man and also a man that we believe will make this country great again.

The election was rigged by President Bola Tinubu Asiwaju who's currently the president of Nigeria after he successfully rigged the election, the man has alot of money and he had to bribe alot of electoral officials who are in charge of the voting activities in the country, the president offered them a huge amount of money and they had no choice but to accept the money and make Tinubu the winner of the election, leaving Peter Obi devastated.

Immediately Tinubu became out president, he began to suffer everyone in the country due to many reasons we don't know except one which is the fact that the man is very angry that majority of the people in my country voted Peter Obi instead of him. This man has decided to suffer us and the prices of things in the market became very high to the extent middle class people became very poor and some wealthy people switched to middle class.

The president has refused to increase the minimum wage of civil servants in the country and they are very angry with him for this. Price of goods in the market are high but our salaries aren't increasing at all, everyone is angry and we have all decided to protest from the 1st of August to the 10th of August, 2024. The protest began yesterday and everywhere has been hot, alot of people have remained indoors and they have refused to open their shops, I just hope everything gets better someday.
