Greetings to my fellow steemians in steem for pakistan community, I hope y'all are doing great and your day is amazing, a contest was organized by @saintkelvin and it was titled Afcon:My View, Myself Week13". Here is my entry.

Is a goal..... this word isn't strange because it is an excited word we does heard when a particular football team score a goal, for instance the moment when Nigeria first score ivory coast in the final AFCON, AFCON is nearly familiar with people especially the last ended AFCON. What is AFCON? let's get inside about this topic.

Moors world

The acronym of AFCON is Africa cup of nation, afcon is a popular African football event played between 24 countries in Africa. This football is held every two years.

In the year 1957, the first ever AFCON took place in Africa and it competed between three African country which were Sudan, Ethiopia and Egypt. Guess who won the match? Egypt spank Ethiopia 4:0 and took the cup, in 1998 the number of participants raised from 3 to 16 and since then the Africa cup of nation came to exist and different African countries began to compete.

On 20 July 2017, the Africa Cup of Nations was moved from January to June and expanded the number of participants from 16 to 24 teams, the Africa cup of nation which is mainly hosted by CAF the federation of Africa is currently competing between 24 Africa countries and it is now a soccer that got individual excited especially when our country of residents won.

South Africa

South Africa whose capital is cape town is located in the southern part of Africa continent is a well known country, a country that owns Amapiano beat which is mostly played in Nigeria. South Africa is known for speaking different languages such as Afrikaans, zulu, English and the likes of it.

Currently the president of South Africa is by name Cyril Ramaphosa, south Africa is rated 23 when it comes to population with the Total number of 62 millions people, during the 2023/2024 AFCON south Africa was so impressive as they conquered the third place.

Ronwen Williams is a professional goalkeeper in premier football club in South Africa and he is the captain of South Africa National team during the 2023/2024 AFCON.

Egypt

When it comes to the Arab world, Egypt which capital is Cairo is the most populous country and in Africa Egypt is ranked third in terms of population, one thing about Egypt is that it is mostly desert, this means that 95 percent of Egypt is desert and about 5 percent of Egypt are occupied by water.

In the world map specifically the map of Africa, Egypt is found in the northeast corner of Africa and the southwest corner of Asia meaning that Egypt is in between Africa and Asia, Egypt became independent from the British empire in the year 1922 since then the egypt country had fought conflict with Israel fourth time during 1948, 1956, 1967 and 1973, and conquer the Gaza strip which is commonly called the world largest open prison until 1967.

During the 2023/ 2024 Africa cup of nation (AFCON), Egypt was eliminated earlier by Dr Congo, but that doesn't change the fact that Egypt had won the AFCON seven times and still remains the most AFCON winners in Africa. Mohammed salad is a English footballer who play for Liverpool in England and he is the captain of Egypt football club.

According to CAF the federation of Africa, the next AFCON will be host by Morocco in 2025. Morocco play well in the last AFCON but sadly they were knocked out by south Africa in the round of 16, however Morocco will come back in the next AFCON and they're the host.

Well Nigeria did play well since the beginning of the 2024 afcon, winning countries like Cameroon, Angola, south Africa and others and got the final against the ivory coast.

During the first half of the final game between Nigeria and Ivory Coast the Nigerian super eagle were so ridiculous and deadly dangerous to the ivory coast and they played attacking football not until the super eagle captain by name Troast Ekong headed one goal in.

After scoring one goal and being the better opponent in the first half, Nigeria became defensive in the second half and played with pride. By playing defensive football nigeria gave ivory coast the advantage to win and ivory Coast didn't joke with the opportunity, ivory coast did the come back in the second half and score two goals.

Along the scene, Aina couldn't pocket the ivory coast boy that currently played for Brighton, honestly I've forgotten the boy name but he played for Brighton. The boy was something else and I think maybe Aina was tired so the Coach could've substituted and replaced him with someone else.

Well, it is said that a student that took second in class is also the intelligent student in the class, The Nigerian super eagle couldn't win the first position but they took the second and wore the medal, we should be happy for that, who knows what the next AFCON holds. I'm proud of my dear super eagle although they go gree for ivory Coast.

AFCON which is simply the Africa cup of nation is always fun to watch, sometimes it's always annoying especially when our country of residents loss or got out of football sense infact played rubbish, i love watching my country play and whatever the outcome is weather my country win, loss or draw it is football and it always happened. let's we all support our country.
