RE: SEC-S17 /W2| "What if you were the president of your country?"

At the end of last year, our very own president, Mr. Cyril Ramaphosa himself, said that when it comes to corruption, his own party, the ruling party, failed to introduce, after the end of apartheid, “an era of integrity, honesty, and ethical performance.”
Yes, I know that corruption is all over the world, but if our president acknowledges it, then you must know how bad it is.
Corruption is a vicious circle. It leads to fewer working opportunities, basic services that cannot be delivered, a poor economy, and a breakdown in trust.
Corruption is a crime that needs to be stopped!

Absolutely, acknowledging the presence of corruption, especially from the highest levels of leadership, is a critical step towards addressing the issue. It’s commendable that President Ramaphosa is recognizing the need for integrity and ethical conduct within his own party and the country as a whole. Tackling corruption is indeed essential for fostering economic growth, providing essential services, and rebuilding trust within society. It’s a challenging battle, but one that must be fought diligently to create a fair and just society for all.

Sort:

Yes, our president acknowledges corruption, but he has done nothing about it. That is so sad if you take into account that we have a corruption watch where you can even report corruption.
Nothing but nothing is done about corruption.

Fair and just.. that is all we ask.

Thank you! I appreciate your comment.
