Dates can be cultivated in any land, without any specific requirement. But for good yield and growth, it required well drained, deep sandy loam soil. pH of soil should be in range of neutral to slightly alkaline. Soil shall not have hard pan upto 2 meter below it. Salty and alkaline soils are not suitable for cultivation for high yield. The highest producer of dates is Egypt. Best quality dates is produced in Saudi Arabia. Barmer area of Rajasthan in India have produced Barahi, Khuneizi, Khalas and Medjool varieties raised from tissue culture imported from abroad.

Obstetric Brachial Plexus Injury (OBPI)
HOW IT HAPPENS
The brachial Plexus is a group of nerves that control the muscles of the shoulder, arm, and hand.
OBPI can occur during birth which results in the baby's shoulders getting stuck in the birth canal.
Happens from applying excessive force by pulling or twisting the baby's head, which damages nerves in the cervical spine.
OUTLOOK & RECOVERY
Some babies recover in the first two years with proper treatment and therapies.
Other babies required nerve grafts, nerve transplant surgery and other treatments.
Babies who do not recover have a life long disability.
