If one can wear a torn faded patched jeans for the sake of fashion. Why one can't have dirty and untidy appearance for the sake of profession. With due respect to all noble and humble profession I would like to discuss about a primitive profession called beginning.

If one camouflage to appear shabby and ugly one can be a very successful self styled professional in begging. It is just like fake Guru or Astrologers. All of them exploit people emotionally and mentally.

The beggars appear as socially deprived or physically handicapped section of society. The income of beggar depends upon many factors like his area or location, footfall and day of the week, month and year.

In the vicinity of mosque income is likely to better than Hindu temples. Sex of beggar is also important.

For the sake of simplicity I considered only independent beggars who are not associated with any organised syndicate.

Though Supreme court thinks abandoning beggars is a elitist approach. I think neighter beggars are poor nor India is a poor country.

Rather begging will be more attractive profession as there will be more unemployment, inflation and more the gap between poor and rich widening.

Though according to census of 2011, it has become half of the previous census of 2001. May be due to Government policies and freebies some of the lazier counterparts become home bound.

Begging isn't hassle free, they also have to share income with extractors and police for lucrative spot of begging.
