What is meditation? How is it useful for our health?

Meditation is a way to calm and self-healing, as well as efforts to increase concentration. Meditation is a form of meditation in Islam, although the implementation is slightly different. But for some Muslims, meditation is not permissible for Muslims. According to some scholars in general that meditation is actually not forbidden in Islam. With an important note that the meditation carried out by Muslims is appropriate in the context of increasing faith and piety to Allah SWT and there are no elements in the meditation.

In Islam, meditation becomes haram if there is a movement or a prayer memorized that is not directed at the head of Allah SWT. Even though there are various challenges for Muslims, there are many benefits of meditation that we will get for mental health. Stress and busy work that must be completed quickly will make mental health decline. Doing meditation regularly can give you a feeling of peace, calm, and balance. Meditation can also provide benefits for emotional health and other overall health.

What are the basic guidelines of meditation for a beginner?

For those of you who experience mental health problems or stress due to various factors, doing meditation or Islamic meditation is a solution. You can do this by closing your eyes and thinking about how Allah SWT is always watching and knowing everything that we experience, such as fears, worries, as well as hopes and dreams. In Islam doing dhikr is a form of meditation that you can do. By reciting in a meditative state, you can train your heart, soul and mind and with the help of tasbih it will help you concentrate more. At special times or on the sidelines you can meditate by reading the Al-Qur'an.

What kind of good results do you find in your body after meditation?

As a Muslim, of course I do meditation activities in accordance with the recommendations in my religion. Dhikr is something that must be done at any time to get closer to the creator and calm the heart, soul and mind because of the various problems in life that we face. Reading more verses of the holy Al-Qur'an will make us as Muslims better. Because many have felt the magic of the Koran as a medicine for the heart. Reading the Koran will also get abundant rewards from Allah SWT. But in Islam this meditation practice is not to replace any obligatory worship. This form of meditation aims to increase the worship of a servant to the owner of the creature.

I also invite friends @msharif, @lavanyalakshman, @patjewell, @ubongufot, @adeljose, @waterjoe, @fantvwiki, @f2i5, @alejos7ven, @harferri, @reinamia, @ripon0630, @suboohi, @nahela, @simonnwigwe, and others to participate in this contest.

Hello dear @fadlymatch
Your answer provides a good overview of the concept of meditation in Islam. In it you mentioned, that there is no prohibition of meditation in Islam, but it should be done in a way that is in accordance with the principles of the religion. The response also mentions that dhikr is a form of meditation that can be done through the recitation of Quranic verses and prayers and highlights the various benefits of meditation for mental and emotional health. The author emphasizes that meditation should not take the place of obligatory worship and its purpose is to enhance the relationship between man and Allah. You have described meditation very well. I agree with you. May Allah grant you more success. Glad to read your post. Thank you very much for participating in this contest. May you win this contest, my best wishes are with you.

Meditation... the one thing I fail to do.
I'm a busy body and I just cannot find myself to sit still in meditation.
My mind wanders all over the show.
Who knows, maybe one day I will get it right. (•ิ‿•ิ)
Thanks for the invite!

A mediation method that is truly very efficacious

It's interesting to learn about the perspective of Islamic meditation and how it aligns with the goal of getting closer to the creator while also providing benefits for mental and emotional health. It's also good to note that meditation should not replace any obligatory worship in Islam.

Good luck

I have some set of friends who are Muslim worshippers, I just take them as brothers and they also take me thesame way, we have been friends for a very long time because they are living here in the eastern part if Nigeria.i enjoying meditating with them when they are praying, I also use that medium to worship my God almighty and share with him the things I will like him to do for me.

In conclusion I will say that meditation is good and has a good work to be done in our body.
