Random acts of kindness
Kindness is a way of changing life's in an unexpected way it doesn't need to be planned but it just happens I specifically thank @muhammad-ahmad for bringing this powerful contest up
Like a warm breeze of the day I have experienced acts of kindness in different ways that has stuck me for years the beautiful moment that reminded me how beautiful humanity can be. Kindness doesn't have to be something huge just a small gesture that reminds you they are still good people in the world
Citing instances where I experienced acts of kindness and they did go along way to helping me stand firm
I remembered being financially drained and I couldn't afford to board a taxi back home I just stood on the middle of nowhere looking all stranded and confused with lots of thoughts running through my head, I tried to figure out what I could do but nothing came forth then a stranger noticed my mood because I almost cried if not cried on the road without hesitation he asked what the problem was and I shared he handed me the exact amount I needed to get home safely just like that with no questions and not expecting something in return. He simply smiled and walked away before I could even get to say thank you to him .
To him he was just paying my transfare but to me that very moment it meant everything. That act got me to make a promise that I will help whenever I get the chance to
Another time I had one of these exhausting days that everything felt bad you know the kind where talking feels like too much effort. But then, a friend of mine sensed my mood and instead of trying to cheer me up or push me to say words, she just sat down with me held my hands and let me rest on her and we stayed that way silently. Somehow, the silence spoke louder than words. It reminded me that kindness isn't about fixing things, sometimes it's about being there.
I think lot of people assume kindness needs to be a grand life-changing act, but really it's the smallest things, compliment, checking up, encouragement those little things matter more than we realize.
I can't count number of times a kind word from someone turned my day around.
One of the easiest ways to be kind is just listening, A simple hearing can mean more than a hundred peace of advice. Being there for people happens to be a big win.
Also, we don't just need to be kind to others, we need to be kind to ourselves too . It's so easy to show compassion to our friends but then incredibly hard on ourselves. I have been guilty of this, and I have learned that cutting myself some slacks resting when I need to, and speaking to myself with kindness makes a huge difference. When we are good to ourselves, it's easier to extend the same energy to others.
At the end of the day, kindness is a choice, we don't always realize how much our actions affect people, but they do. A simple act of kindness can restore someone's faith in humanity, brighten a tough day, or even inspire them to do the same for someone else
So here's my challenge to you, be kind to someone today it doesn't have to be big, a thoughtful text to your friend, smile at a stranger, offer a ride, you never know whose life you might touch in the most unexpected way. And who knows that kindness might just find it's way back to you when you need it most
Thank you all for going through
