Vitamin D best source?

Out of all vitamins and minerals, we need to get vitamin D dietarily because it is almost impossible to get it from foods and the best natural source of vitamin D is the sun since human skin able to synthesise vitamin D when it is exposed to UVB rays.

Other animal-based foods containing vitamin D include the fatty fish like s Salmon, tuna and mackerel, some of the other foods that contain vitamin D are milk, juice – especially orange juice – and many kinds of cereal and there is also very low amounts of Vitamin D in food such as egg yolk and processed cheese , it is also gotten from the sunlight and from foods we consume, for those who may not get adequate vitamin D in their diets they take vitamin D supplements.

Vitamin D daily requirement?

The daily requirement of vitamin D depends on age, gender among other factors. A general advised intake is between 600-800 International Units (IU) per day for most people. Preferences can vary, for example, people who are older, those with dark skin or who do not go outdoors very often may need more of the substance.

It is a fat-soluble vitamin essential in the regulation of health and mineral metabolism of bones and the entire immune system. It is naturally produced in the body in response to sun exposure, incorporated through the consumption of food containing fatty fish and products based on them, and dairy products containing added vitamin D or in cases of its deficiency, through special supplements and the dosage of this drug in pediatric patients has not been well established as well as a preventative regimen, therefore to me I will say it is advisable to consult your doctor on the dosage suitable for your body.

Vitamin D monthly requirement?

The amount of Vitamin D needed each month also differs with other factors such as age as i said before, health and exposure to the sun. But a generally recommended intake for an adult is 600-800 I.U daily that is nearly 18000-24000 I.U for a month and remember that some may need larger or smaller doses depending on their circumstances, so a doctor should be consulted.

And since vitamin D plays an important role in bone health and the strengthening of the immune system as well as in collating the body’s general health, it is necessary to have optimum amounts of it in our system. Many people get their daily Vit D through sun exposure, foods that are rich in the vitamin and food supplements.
