What is the first thing that comes to your mind when you hear "paper and pencil" and why?

About the terms “paper and pencil” the first associated thought that comes to my mind is creativity. Pen and paper can be regarded as the staples that have always helped to set free imagination and give birth to concepts and inventions. Thus, the use of these tools presents one with the unique characteristic that with the basic tool, more complex ideas can be developed – from drawing beautiful works of art, to writing great stories and doing mathematical problems, or jotting down new ideas.

This simple act of writing with the pencil provokes the brain in an unexplainable way and enhances the flow of concentration, creativity and competency. This is one aspect that a paper and pencil have a real feel to them that programs sometimes does not have. As writing or drawing can be extended as a haptic action, it is simpler to ‘get’ what is written in a text once the latter has been read.

Still, paper and pencil do not restrict the individual in any manner; it is simple and can be used by anybody ranging from children to adults. They are constant tools that do not stick to the changes in technologies and stand as an indication of how people need to go back to basic and focus on interpersonal communication amidst the fast ticking wheel of the cyber world.

So, “paper and pencil” signify a vehicle, or a door, to another world: the world of creativity where no law is binding, and no idea is prohibited: it is a world of imagination.

Now what kind of appropriate work would you like to use it for?

Even today there is no better instruments as pencil and paper for drawing various pictures, constructing architectural plans and designs, note taking during the meeting or class, making the list of things one has to do, calculating the sum, devising the new ideas, procrastinating at school, drawing something beautiful in order to inspire oneself, practicing the best handwriting, drawing the diagrams for the lesson, developing an idea of the story or the new essay, playing the simple

Compared with typing in front of a computer, writing by pencil and paper can stimulate people’s thoughts, focusing ability and simplify revision and annotation. Thus, though the performing technologies have a significant role in our lives, pencil and paper remain irreplaceable for a variety of artistic and real-life projects.
