Alpha Beach is a hidden sandy beach, which is situated in the Lagos State in Nigeria and far from the noise and crown of the surrounding city. The waves envelop the beach as if it’s the first time it has embraced the sun greeting the horizon with the golden bright colors kissing the pristine sand from afar, the seagulls and other similar calls can be heard.

The people of the town strongly think that the sand of Alpha Beach can change people’s lives because it is the home of mermaids which come ashore at night and sing songs that put the listeners under their spell. According to Flip’s experience, Alpha Beach fishermen are believed to have gifted-worthy catches by appealing to the sea spirits’ requests dead on the island.

When arriving to the occasion of going to the beach, a number of people are met by a sandy coastline coupled with green palm trees that give visitors an opportunity to sun bathe and gaze at the beauty that nature has to offer. Clean and transparent waters tempt the bathers to go for a swim calmly, at the same time, interesting waves are formed just before the shoreline and some adventurous surfers can enjoy the nice surfing ride.

The sun sets in the evening creating a beautiful scene with shades of purple, orange and pink and the walking path along the lake offers a spectacular view at this time of day. Fires burn, and the aroma of seafood barbecued wafts through the evening, while holidaymakers make friends and enjoy their jokes in the evening covered with stars.

However, the area of Alpha Beach from the photographs suggested is not only a beautiful and mysterious place but also the area with the focus on peoples’ life, joy and culture. Saturday and Sundays are for drummers and dancers who move around the arena with a rhythm of their drums also wearing colorful outfits which depict some historical past of the area.

Towards the evening and when the last sparks from the bonfire disappear beneath the starry sky, visitors brought overwhelming joy and felt they have been to paradise at alpha beach, the natural part where human and magic can co-exist.
