" Backpack Travel Plan ".
◉ Plan a 3-day trip to any place with only $100.
Greetings everyone so here is my plan for my 3-day trip from the place I'm currently in which is Akwanga in nasarawa state and to Lafia with a $100 approximate ₦161,000 Nigeria currency.
So for day 1 take a bus from Akwanga to Lafia which isthe capital city with ₦2,500 so check into a budget guesthouse with ₦10,000/night, then visit the the Lafia City Mall and also Akiri Warm Springs for some sightseeing and relaxation. Dinner at a local buka ₦3,000.
So for day 2 Breakfast ₦2,500, then I head to a place called Farin Ruwa Falls and the transport ₦3,000 then I enjoy nature and take photos. Lunch ₦2,500 and I return to Lafia and explore local markets. Light dinner ₦2,000.
Then for Day 3 I will Visit the Emir's Palace and local art centers. Lunch ₦2,500 Buy souvenirs ₦5,000. Transport back to Akwanga ₦2,500.
Total: Approximately ₦55,500 and I still have extra money left.
◉ If you could only bring 5 things on a trip, what would they be?
I would select the 5 items carefully to make sure I travel with ease and have everything needed. And I do bring my phone with me because it helps me find my way, connect with others and record special moments and take pictures I would make sure to bring an extra battery pack so I can recharge my phone as needed while on the trip.
I do bring some cash and my ID in case I need to pay for daily needs such as getting around, eating and accessing various sites. I would also bring a spare set of clothes meant for easy movement and travel. Finally, a toiletry kit with a toothbrush, soap and sanitizer for personal hygiene. This list ensures I can explore while staying within my budget and traveling light. Traveling with simplicity keeps things efficient and enjoyable.
◉ Share your idea for a travel challenge (one place, one bag, one goal).
So let's go, pick one place you have never truly explored preferably within your state or region to keep it budget friendly then bring just one backpack with essentials: clothes, toiletries, water, snacks, and a journal or phone for notes and pictures. Then the goal? Spend 48 hours fully immersing yourself in the local culture. Visit a traditional market, and eat only local food, talk to at least three locals, and learn one cultural activity (like a dance, craft, or phrase in the local dialect).
No luxuries, no distractions just pure connection. By at the end of the trip, share your experience through a short blog, vlog, or photo story. This challenge pushes you to travel light, stay curious, and embrace the richness of one place fully.
Thanks for reading my post I'm inviting @josepha, @okere-blessing and @chant to participate.
