Greetings my fellow steemians. So much elated making an entry to this engagement challenge. I've read many story, fictional, comic, non-fictional and the likes of them. Here's my own fictional story of Marcus who faced lot of obstacles and adversity on his search for the lost city of gold. Did he find it or he gave up? Follow along as I wet your eyes.

In a far-off land, there was a city of gold, a place of great wealth and prosperity, where the people lived in peace and happiness. But one day, the city disappeared, vanished into thin air, and its people were never seen again.

Years went by, and many adventurers set out to find the lost city of gold, but none returned. It was said that the city was protected by powerful magic, and that only the bravest and most worthy of adventurers could find it.

One day, a young adventurer named Marcus decided to embark on a quest to find the lost city of gold. He had heard the stories of its wealth and prosperity, and he was determined to find it.

Marcus set out on his journey, traveling through dangerous lands, facing countless obstacles, and overcoming great challenges. But he never lost hope, and he never gave up.

Finally, after many months of traveling, Marcus reached the entrance to the lost city of gold. There, he was greeted by a wise old man, who told him that the city was indeed protected by powerful magic, and that he would have to prove his worth to enter.

Marcus was determined, and he set out to complete the trials that the wise old man had set for him. He faced challenges of strength, courage, and wisdom, and he emerged victorious.

The wise old man was impressed, and he allowed Marcus to enter the lost city of gold. And there, Marcus found what he had been searching for, a place of great wealth and prosperity, where the people lived in peace and happiness.

Marcus lived in the lost city of gold for many years, enjoying its wealth and prosperity, and he became a respected and beloved member of its people. And when he was ready to return home, he was given a piece of the city's gold, a symbol of the wealth and prosperity that he had found.

The lost city of gold became a place of legend, a symbol of hope and adventure, and a reminder that great wealth and prosperity could be found by those who were brave and determined enough to seek it out. And so, the story of Marcus and the lost city of gold lived on, a tale of bravery, determination, and the power of the human spirit.

Did Marcus give up after what he passed through in his search for something he never knew how to find? Marcus faced many challenges on his journey, but he never let them defeat him. He remained resilient and continued to push forward, which teaches us to be resilient and to never give up in the face of adversity.
