Weekly Contest - Best Diary Game | Memorial and Museum Auschwitz-Birkenau
Today I want to share with you my next business trip, which was in Poland. As I was traveling to my destination, the road passed near Auschwitz and I decided to stop and check out the memorial and museum. It was a rainy day, and that seemed to add even more to the gloomy atmosphere of the time. The rain drummed on the roof of the car, creating an eerie atmosphere that matched the place. Although I knew what was coming, I was not prepared for the emotional impact it would have on me. The first thing I felt was silence. A silence broken only by the sound of the rain and the sighs of the visitors. The place looked abandoned, like a ghost town that had once been bustling with life but was now empty and silent.
As I stood there, surrounded by these eerie remnants of the past, I could feel the weight of history enveloping me. I thought of the countless lives taken so senselessly and the families left heartbroken by the loss of their loved ones.
I continued my tour passing through various exhibits showing the horrors committed in this death camp. I saw pictures of prisoners, their emaciated faces a testament to the hunger and harsh conditions they faced. There were also personal items such as shoes and clothes, which were all that remained of these people.
I noticed the train lines that run past the complex. These rails play an important role in the history of the Holocaust, as they were used to transport millions of Jews and other persecuted people to the death camps. The rails were a testament to the industrialized nature of the genocide carried out by the Nazis. They represent the effectiveness and efficiency of the system used to destroy human life on a large scale. These tracks acted as a grim reminder to me of the journey taken by countless people who never arrived at their destination.
I also imagined the children holding their toys, their laughter replaced by screams as they were taken away from their families. It was a moment when I realized the true extent of the Holocaust - not only as a historical event, but also as a tragedy that affected the lives of millions of individuals.
Looking at the rails, I felt the weight of the history they carry. They were silent witnesses to some of the darkest chapters in human history and a reminder of the need to remember and honor the memory of the millions who lost their lives in this place.
The toilet building, also known as the "red house", was used as a makeshift toilet in the concentration camp during World War II. It is a stark reminder of the inhumane conditions faced by prisoners in the camp.
Inside the building were several cells, each with a hole in the floor intended for use as a toilet. Prisoners had to squat over these openings, deprived of any privacy or dignity. Lack of sanitary facilities and overcrowding contributed to the spread of typhus, dysentery and other diseases that claimed countless lives.
I tried to imagine what it would feel like to lose a loved one on such a horrific scale, knowing they would never be found or buried properly.
When I left Auschwitz-Birkenau, I felt changed. This experience showed me the harsh reality of the Holocaust and the importance of remembering it to ensure that such a horrific event never happens again. As I continued my journey in Poland, I couldn't help but think about the lessons I learned at Auschwitz and the promise I made to myself to continue teaching others about them.

Selamat malam, selamat beristirahat
Semoga malam ini tidak bermimpi buruk setelah mengunjungi kota mati dan angker.
