"One Picture And One Story Week #37"

Hello everyone, I am happy to join this contest, I have a very interesting story that supports the saying that goes: THE SWIFT DOES NOT ALWAYS WIN THE RACE

There is a woman named Mary, she has two children, Esther, and Favor, Esther is the eldest as such she was admitted into the university first, she was 3 years ahead of her younger sister favor, Esther took her study seriously, while she was in her third year, she slagged behind and started performing poorly.

During this time Favour her younger sister had gained admission and started her first year. So Esther was withdrawn from her department because of her poor performance, and favour continues with her studies.

When Esther related the story to her parents they were very angry and they vowed never to see her through school again.

Esther became frustrated and started a small business, she saved up some money and took the entrance examination again. By now her younger sister is in her final year when Esther gained admission again, and favor was already serving the country as a corp member. This made their parents value favor more than Esther because they thought Esther can never make it through school again. Favor on the other hand always mocks her elder sister saying she is a dumb head.

Immediately after Esther gained admission she was opportune to take one of the scholarship examinations organized by one of the richest companies in the country, Esther was fortunate to pass the Examination and she studied Nursing through a scholarship. By now favour has been looking for a job in the country but she was not lucky to see one, so she had to enroll as a classroom teacher in a private nursery school which fetches her only small money.

Esther finished her studies and sat for an international examination, she passed the Examination and was invited over to the United States of America to start work as a Nurse.

Esther and Favour both succeeded in life but at different intervals and different levels. Esther was taking care of her parents who refused to give her a second chance, she was also supporting her sister's favor in everything.

LESSONS:

(1)We need to accept life the way it presents itself because whatever we face, God has a good plan for us. Esther accepted life the way it was and she picked up herself and moved on.

(2) No matter what happens to a person, we should not mock the person, Favour forgot the fact that man's thoughts are not God's thoughts that was why she was mocking her sister.

(3) No matter what someone does to us we should have a forgiving spirit, their parents lacked natural love which was why they refused to support Esther again, but when Esther made it, she forgave them and took care of them.

(4) THE SWIFT DOES NOT ALWAYS WIN THE RACE. Favor graduated before Esther, though Esther Started university before her. Esther became richer than Favor upon her graduation, though Favor graduated before Esther.

CONCLUSION

We should not lie flat when we fall, rather, we should pick up ourselves and move on even when there is nobody to pick us up.
