Tara, Mr Dean's helping hand

Tara, a young medical practitioner in her petite teenager's look; a relatively slender yet shaped body having all the curves falling into place in the right proportion, bright green eyes almost irresistible to lock contacts with, healthy blonde hair styled in a straight bob and the warmest smile you could ever imagine.

A bright, vibrant lady who once ruled her life had all of that pulled to an almost halt when she lost her husband in a ghastly accident which had her ten year old son paralyzed also. London Teaching Hospital, LTH, had a very great staff welfare and she was grateful for that especially in the period when she needed to take care of her mother's burial rights and make shifts to go take care of her crippled nephew since his last nanny quit.

Danny although ridden to a wheelchair has always been an understanding unbiased orphaned nephew to Tara. An understanding boy has always been considered a blessing to Tara.

Dean Armstrong, a strict man with a trimmed lean build, husky voice that puts Tara on edge; mostly sparking up her irritation towards him and other times, setting her on fire was her direct employer and boss. He ran LTH in a very firm and decisive manner with a touch of sarcasm.

He was hard on all his employees but underneath that mask was a deeply wounded man who lost his wife just at the peak of his success. He has always loved Linda cuz she too had been so supportive. She was diagnosed of a terminal illness that needed immediate attention but at the time for Dean to save her, it was already too late.

He never allowed that pain show again after Linda was laid to rest. He only went on with the scar of living with Linda's memories. That's why he found it difficult to mingle with other women.

"Tara, Dean began while they were both sitted in his office. "As you know, the business convention we have been anticipating will hold in the next three days and I need all hands on deck to give a memorable occasion."

"Get a few other staff come over to my apartment to grab some supplies to get the presentation ready", he said. "As for those in charge of the hall's decoration, ask them to make it a very professional and catchy appearance. Other CEOs will be present so we need to stand out...as always."
Tara nodded and casually smiled to the instructions of her boss.

About two hours after closing hours, Tara dinged the bell of her boss's house with a few other staff to get some supplies as instructed. It wasn't much of a hassle to get it done and loaded in the van they came with. Peeking at Mr Dean, Tara sends off the other staffs she came with telling them that she'd be right behind them.

She then went to the kitchen, brewed two cups of fresh tea and served it at the where Mr Dean was sitted. She pulled him out of his deep thought when she asked, "sugar or milk to your tea, Mr Dean?"

"Both, thanks", he replied. "I thought you left with the others", he quizzed at her as she smiled and handed him his cup. "You've been thinking a lot lately. Is it because of the upcoming convention?", Tara calmly interrogated.
"Not that. I just miss Linda, my ex-wife. She would have been so happy to see me hold this convention cuz I spoke about it most of time when she was alive. It's just saddens me that she's gone."

"Oh, so you were once married? I thought of you as a single young CEO who felt women were only a big distraction to your ambitions.", Tara said surprisingly. "I'm sorry about your wife and it all makes sense to me now as you've mentioned it."

"Funnily enough, you remind me a lot about her. Probably one of the reasons I was initially hard on you", Dean said
"Unnecessarily hard on me? Yes, I understand and you are forgiven", Tara teased. "Well, I hope you don't let the sad memories of Linda drain your fighting spirit. I will be here, anytime you need someone to lean on", she finished nicely.
