I may not be so good at drawing but I made sure that I focused and drew the Kiwano fruit as best as I could. Here's my step-by-step guide to drawing a Kiwano fruit:

Materials Needed

Step 1

Initially, I first sketched two rounded shapes that I then proceeded to fill with Kiwano fruit – one whole and one halved. I then proceeded to incorporate a second Kiwano fruit with an extra half-cut on the artwork.

Step 2

After that, I superimposed another line over the first sketches, spending more time on the outer skin of the Kiwano. I was very careful to sketch out the thick edge of the skin which is jagged in outline.

Step 3

In this step, the focus is made on the inner part of the fruit. I then drew the shapes inside the cut sections and the seeds. As a finishing touch of the fruit I added two leaves on top of it.

Step 4

Now, it was time to add color. For the outer skin of the Kiwano, I used a combination of the orange and yellow poster colors. As for the inner part of the tablet, I decided to make it green so that I would have a feeling of they juices or, at least, freshness.

Step 5

I then looked for the white item and applied it on the seeds so as to enhance the brightness of the seeds from the green color of the flesh. The outlines around the fruits were done in black so that they could be seen as having more pep and color than the leaves.

This is how I drew Kiwano fruit and used black color outer side of the fruit and some enhancement to finish the drawing.

As far as I am concerned I have never come across the Kiwano fruit, and for the matter of that I have never tasted the fruit as well. Unluckily, these fruits are not produced in Bangladesh. At loca markets and supermarkets I have not seen Kiwano though I have been visiting many of them. It is elevating to know about this particular fruit but unfortunately, it isn’t commonly found here.

Because it is not available in my country I also can not say what price has been established for it in my country. This gives me a driving force to know whether the taste and texture of the food is as unique as the ability that is needed to prepare it. I’m quite sure it must be quite fascinating for those who can indulge in it, but for me at the moment it is one of those things which one can only read about and look at photographs of. I would love to try it, even though; it might contain a higher price due to its rarity and exotic nature if it were available.
