"Contest Alert !!! || "Domestic Violence".
I am pleased to take part in this competition hosted by @abdullahw2, which centers around the crucial issue of "Domestic Violence." I believe that this is great chance to attract focus to rather important issue, and I am proactive about expressing my opinion along with my experience.
Domestic violence as a problem remains secret and exists in various forms, affecting all people regardless of age, gender, and social status. It can be physical such as hitting, pushing, or any other form of violence, emotional abuse, psychological abuse, and sexual abuse all meant to dominate and control the other person. The effects of domestic violence are not only felt by the receiving party but also children, families and or members of the society. It begets fear, manipulation, and oppression which makes victims feel helpless and surrounded by a life of captivity. It becomes important therefore to be able to recognize the signs of domestic violence and to grasp the issues involved in its detection as well as in its prevention.

Personally, I do not think that domestic violence is a private issue that does not affect the society. It embodies other problems such as the subjection of women and other cultural practices that affect the community. One challenge associated with domestic violence is the fact that the victim always feels and is looked down upon by society, hence they cannot seek help. This means that, the cycle of abuse must be broken with help of increasing population’s awareness and providing needed support.

To my mind, while dealing with the problem of domestic violence, it is important to distinguish between various forms of violence. The three common categories of familial abuse are physical abuse, emotional abuse and financial abuse.
🔹Physical abuse can be defined as use of force that results into physical harm against the victim. Physical abuse which can be in the form of physical aggression, flagging, beating up or any other form of violence. It is easily recognizable and this is the kind of domestic violence many of us tend to imagine when the topic is mentioned.
🔹Emotional abuse is protective in nature, which consists of actions that physically harm a person, while in emotional abuse, harm is caused to a person’s esteem or psychological well-being. This can comprise of constant teasing, threatening, and gas lighting as well as making and enforcing rules. This form is as toxic as physical one, as it deconstructs the victim and makes them lose their self-esteem.
🔹Another type is the financial one, in which the abuser takes control over the financial situation of the victim, thus having an impact on the decisions concerning the seclusion from an abusive partner. This entails not allowing banking operations, denying one the right to work, or making financial decisions on behalf of the victim unlawfully. Economically, due to the financial dependence on the abuser, the victims gets finds it hard to leave the relationship.

Therefore, I think that enhancement of awareness about domestic violence is as follows. It assists in the fight against rape culture and easing the vicious cycle of abuse since the victims do not feel ashamed when looking for justice. Awareness campaigns also enlighten the public on Staleness and its effects, which is essential in preventing, intervening and combating.
Further, raising awareness, reaction, and support change the stereotypical perception affecting society for the better in terms of policies and socio-criminal services such as shelters and hotlines. Thus, providing people with an opportunity to act and make others aware of the issue helps to contribute to eliminating the occurrence of domestic violence and ensuring society’s protection.

All in all, I believe, it is very alarming to watch at least a real case of domestic abuse. For instance, there is a story I saw one time the friend had a neighbor who was being subjected to a longtime emotional and physical assault. The perpetrator, who was the victim’s partner, would constantly humiliating and threatening them thus making the latter live in fear. Weather physical altercations or threats or else severe emotional bullying the abuse became progressively for the worse.
I noticed this myself and realized that support structures and treatments are required. Witnessing a person suffer in vain, not being able to scream or shout, locked in one’s own misery. This has made me to come to realize that there is need to educate the public about the incidents of domestic violence and stand for women who are being abused and to fight for proper methods to be taken in order to combat the bad act of domestic violence. This means there still remains a great gap in the level of participation by different communities and knowledge about this severe problem.
To sum up, domestic violence can encompass physical, emotional, economical and sexual abuse. Generally raising public awareness is crucial in combating the persistence of the issue, informing the public and assisting the victims. Therefore, for a society that has no incidence of domestic violence, people have to adapt to embracing education and demanding quality services that fit the cause of the violence.

This is so true some people have endured domestic violence for so long and they forget that they have a right to speak up. Subjecting themselves into a long-term abuse.
Good luck with a the contest
