Upon seeing our department building, I am immediately taken back to my most treasured university moments. The sounds of laughing, the whispers of late-night study sessions, and the warmth of friendships created in the furnace of academics reverberate within its intimidating facade.

I recall the busy hallways within those walls, where students sped past, their backpacks heavy with notebooks and textbooks.

We were drawn in like moths to a flame by the aroma of freshly made coffee from the adjoining cafe, which created the ideal atmosphere for innumerable discussions and arguments that went well beyond the confines of the classroom.

From the quiet nooks where we found comfort during times of reflection to the lecture halls where we enthusiastically absorbed knowledge, every part of the structure had a tale to tell.

And then there were the spontaneous get-togethers on the outdoor steps, when we enjoyed the sunshine and one other's company while connecting over our shared goal of pursuing a higher education.

Above all, however, the structure is a memorial to the friendships that grew within its walls. The enduring memory of our university days and the transformational effect of shared experiences are evidenced by the friendships that were created during those formative years.
