What are your go to reading books?
I generally do not choose any specific genre, instead I choose the author. My most favorite is the Iranian writer Dr Ali Shariati. Then come to urdu adab, till now I like نولکھی کوٹھی best of all. This is a historical fiction by Ali Akbar Natiq and is his debut novel. Next I read some Turkish writers and obviously Orhan Pamok 's My name is red( englishTranslation) is on top. And Margaret Michelle's only novel Gone with the wind is my all time favorite. And how can I forget The kite runner. I think I'm dragging this comment too much, so pardon me, but I can't do anything with it because this is my favorite topic. Now it's your turn to tell me about your favorite genre, writer or book......?
my name is red sounds attractive, what was its original language?
I also don't stick to one genre, it could cloud our thinking.
My favoirote book is Forty rules of love by turkish writer Elif shafaq. I've read her couple of books. I read it on Imran khan's recommendation. I believe every person on this planet, especially Muslims should read this book.
Then pride and prejudice❤
For urdu literature nemrah Ahmed is my favourite, her book namal has my heart❤
Peer e kamil is good too.
P.S: you're not dragging it, it's just a reader pouring her heart out:)))
My name is red is in turkish language. And Elif shafaq is also in my bucket list along with many others...... Funny thing about it is I-K recommended it and she is favorite of Maryam navaz . Nemra +Umera are among those who pull reader to books again in our society. So now we can discuss and recommend further books in future to each other.☺️
My goodness😂 Maryam nawaz was also into paulo cohelo i guess.
Yeah for sure, let's stay connected:)
Why not ....it's a pleasure 😍
