Weekly Contest - Best Diary Game | "Searching for friends of peace".

Hello Diary,

It was || 30-4-2024 || being Tuesday the last day of the month. What an amazing day to search for friends of peace wholeheartedly, It's always a privilege to work as a servant of our dear God Jehovah. Despite the challenges in life, i keep them aside, heed to the call and take my bag for the voluntary work.

Morning and Afternoon Activities

I was up by 6am in the morning to examine my daily scriptures, pray to God for his guidance throughout the day, maintain personal hygiene for doing some house chores, brushing my teeth and taking my bath. I went to my wardrobe after the chores to select the best outfit for today's search. I found my best shirt, but unfortunately, it was twisted and doesn't look presentable.

I called my dry cleaner (RABBONI) on phone to know if he has opened. He was already there even before i called, so i quickly package my shirt inside a red bag and head to the dry cleaner shop to get my clothes ironed. When i arrived, his fuel had already finish, so i had to help him get 2 litres of fuel because his legs aren't good. I came back after 15 minutes because of the cue at the fuel station.

I was already exhausted, and my stomach needed something edible. So i went to the nearby shop to get one 35cl of cococola and two short bread which cost me about 500 naira (1.4 steem). While enjoying my snacks, I login my Steemit account to read some interesting entries and post created by steemians.

After 20 minutes, my clothes were ready for pickup. I paid him 500 naira (1.4 steem) and grab my clothes back home. On reaching the house, i saw my shoes outside just the way i left , meanwhile i told my junior sister to polish it for me, hmmmm children of nowadays. To avoid spoiling my day and running late, i grab my brush and black Kiwi polish and get it done myself.

I was set and ready for today, in search of friends of peace. I arrived at the kingdom hall were we read the scriptures and pray before going out. I met just few people there, so i conducted the field service preparation. After prayers, more people came to join us and we departed.

We were outnumbered, so we decided to divide into 2 pairs to make it look moderate. I captained team A while my friend who's also a pioneer captained group B. We were given tips on how to capture the mind of the people we're to meet and we did just that. I met so many people in the houses but it seems they weren't giving listening ears. I was disappointed and weak, i felt I've not applied those tips. I wanted to close by 5pm in the evening, but due to lack of interest i scheduled my time back to 2pm in the afternoon.

During our time of rest which was 12pm in the afternoon, I told a pioneer who's so caring how I'm feeling and why I'm feeling that way. She laughed and said "It happens that way most times, remember we're searching not going to meet, so don't be discouraged". I was filled with power and strength after her kind words.

My throats was already dry because of the intense heat from the sun, so i went to the nearby provision shop to get a cold water. I bought 6 sachet water which is 200 naira ( 0.55 steem), i drank one then give the remaining to my fellow friends of peace searchers.

It was 3pm in the afternoon when i got a call from my client concerning our unfinished project. It was so urgent, so i had to roundup my search for the day and meet him. You may wonder if my search for friends of peace was in vein. No it wasn't, after i ended the call, i met an old woman washing her clothes in her varenda. I walked down to her with humility and gave her hope through the scriptures about what God intend to do with old age.

She jumped up with excitement, me and my companion were so happy because this is the kind of people we've been searching for, people who wants and accept the truth. The joy in my companion's heart was overwhelming, she hugged her and encourage her to join our Christian meetings for more teachings from the Bible. Today's search for friends of peace was successful, atleast I got one person who's ready to accept the truth. I can now go and meet my client.

Evening Activities

After a successful meeting with my client which takes more than an hour, I boarded a taxi to my house, got into a deep sleep as i was very tired. The time was 7pm already when i remembered that mum send me on an errand, but i thank God who did the work for me.

I was to fetch water from the well and water our farm because it's been days the waterleaf haven't tasted water. But I thank God for rain that evening. After standing outside for 20 minutes, watching how the rain does the work for me, I login my Steemit account, go through some friends post, upvote and soaked my garri for dinner. This is my diary for ||30-4-2024||.
