"One Picture And One Story Week #33".

It's week #33 of the contest "One picture and one story" organised by @suboohi. How would you feel if you've been eating free food from a classic restaurant that serves quality and yummy meals, waking up one day, you hear that they no longer exists. After some years, they reopen, this time around with a nutritious and healthy foods. I'm sure you won't fail to visit the place to enjoy their sumptuous meal for free. This is just a glimpse of my story behind the picture above. Let me tell you a story associated with the classic restaurant.

Some years back, during the COVID-19 pandemic, all churches and events centres were closed due to the widespread of the deadly disease called corona virus. This virus affected the whole world depriving most citizens of their happiness and joy because of the sudden curfew from the government. We were indoors during this time of calamity, no schools, no churches, no businesses.

This really affected me personally because the classic restaurant (Assembly hall of Jehovah's witnesses) which I've been feeding spiritually on was closed. We worshipped our God indoors instead of visiting the assembly and kingdom hall as usual. We endured this tribulations and shutting down of our assembly ground for more than 2 years. It's sad to say that most people who devoted their life to the Almighty withdrew because of this unexpected disaster.

Though many quitted, the love I, my family and some of my friends had for Jehovah couldn't let us go. We stood by our elders, follow their guidelines and I think that's what kept us going. We organized our meetings via Zoom meeting application. Most at times, we don't have a smooth meeting due to network glitch in some areas.

Just the way the classic restaurant i talked about opened with a nutritious and sumptuous meal opened after some years of shutting down, our assembly ground and kingdom hall was opened and this time around with a well prepared meal from our dear creator (JEHOVAH). This is how it was announced to the congregation "We have a great news congregation. From today, the governing body has given the permission to open all the kingdom halls and the assembly ground". They also added "our First circuit assembly for the year will be held in our assembly ground".

It was the greatest news ever, COVID-19 pandemic was gone, the kingdom hall and assembly ground was opened, none of my friends nor family members contacted the virus. We all waited patiently for the assembly day, and it arrived. Above is the picture of me and my friends after our first circuit assembly of the year. Can you see the smiles on our faces, that was how happy we were. The same way you'll feel when the restaurant you've been eating free food reopened, that's exactly the feelings i got after our assembly ground and kingdom hall was reopened.
