What is name for stress hormone?

The primary hormone associated with stress is cortisol. Cortisol is a steroid hormone produced by the adrenal glands which are located on the top of the kidneys. It plays a crucial role in the body's response to stress as well as in the regulation of various bodily function including metabolism, immune response. Cortisol is produced in the adrenal cortex the outer part of the adrenal gland. When a person perceives stress the hypothalamus in the brain release corticotropin releasing hormone (CRH). CRH stimulate the pituitary gland to secrete adrenocorticotropic hormone (ACTH). ACTH then travel through the bloodstream. During times of stress cortisol increases blood sugar, enhances brain function, and helps the body use fats and proteins more efficiently. Prolonged exposure to high cortisol levels due to chronic stress can lead to various health issues. Chronic stress can also affect mental health, anxiety and depression. Leap year comes but after how many years?

A leap year occurs every four years. The primary reason for leap year is to keep our calendar year synchronized with the astronomical year or the time it takes for earth to complete it's one orbit around the sun. Which is approximately 365.2422 days. The modern calendar known as the Gregorian calendar was introduced by Pope Gregory XIII in 1582. A year is typically 365 days long. A solar year is about 365.2422 days an extra day is added every four years to account for the additional 0.2422 days per year. Leap year keep our calendar in alignment with the Earth's revolution around the sun. Leap year ensure that the season spring, summer, autumn and winter occur at roughly the same time each year. A leap year comes after every four years for the extra fraction of a day in each solar system with adjustment made for century year not divisible by 400.
