1 Pic 1 Story Week #49 | The Snake Within

in Steem For Pakistan2 months ago

It was 6 am of foggy winter morning. I found myself running along a footpath in a wild area approximately 2.5 km from the city. I paused to rest on a bench and take a drink of water when a car passed by.

Shortly after, I heard the screeching sound of brakes, indicating a high-speed stop, which lasted for many seconds at a high pitch. My initial thought was that an accident had occurred, perhaps involving a car crash with another vehicle or an obstacle. As I hurried towards the sound, my body inexplicably froze, making me unmoving. The sight before me was so disturbing that it left me unable to move.

At the scene, a man was found lying on the road with blood on his forehead and irregular breathing. The vehicle appeared to have sustained significant damage, with trees resting on top of it.

It is a human?
Or
A snake?

At first, I was confused, but it turned out to be true. A scene from the serial Nagin flashed before me. An elderly character named Maa Kali called it as Ichadari Nagin.

Ichadari Nagin is a human who has the ability to transform into a snake or another person.

Yes, it was the Ichadari Nagin, tongue darting in and out. I concealed myself behind a tree and watched them closely. And then, I came back to the real world, nightmare faded, yet it remained in my thoughts.

Does Ichadari Nagin exist in the world?
Of course, no.

While I don't believe in the existence of Ichadari Nagin, I do believe that some individuals in your life play the role of a snake. They may not physically transform from human to snake, but their words and actions can work like poison in your life.

I have encountered such people in my life, the snakes of my story. Their actions toward me and my family are unforgettable. And I have chosen to distance myself from them, even though they are my relatives. I do not feel guilt in prioritizing myself over relationships.

However, in the desi family, it mostly does not work, a strange thing,
Someone tried to destroy your life
And they did it.
And in the end, you forget what they did to you and act like nothing bad happened.

This is a feature of desi families. While it is commendable to let go of unpleasant experiences, it does not mean completely erasing them. No one returns to precisely how they were before an experience.

A snake sheds its skin to grow larger. Never try to be-friend or re-concile with someone who once sought to harm you. They will never change their core nature. They simply change their way to harm you once more:).
Care yourself.
