Hello Steemians! How are you all? Well come to my post. I hope that you will be doing well. I'm also fine and enjoying my day. Today I'm here to participate in this amazing contest which is organized by @suboohi in the Steem For Pakistan community. This Contest is about "1 Picture 1 Story". So let's start the task without any more delay of time.
Friends as we all know that the mega event of cricket ICC ODI World Cup 2023 is on going and reaching it's final stages and still our team Pakistan is struggling to get a place in semi finals of that world cup. According to the points table standings the top three teams India, South Africa and Australia are confirmed the semi finalists as you can in the picture above the captains of India, South Africa and Australia are sitting in the bus of semifinals.
In the picture you can see the three teams Pakistan, new Zealand and Afghanistan are still struggling for semifinals. But the Afghanistan team is officially knocked out from the world and the race of semi finals as they have lost an important match against Australia two days ago. The New Zealand team has almost 95% qualified for the semifinals because they have completed thei group stage matches with 10 points.
Now the chances of qualification of Pakistan team is very low because they have low NRR net run rate as compared to New Zealand but they have still left one match against England which would be played today. For the qualification of semifinals Pakistan need to win their match from England with high margins two surpass the net run rate from New Zealand team. The following is the qualification scenario for Pakistan team:
If Pakistan bat first today's match and made runs about 250 then Pakistan would be out of the world cup.
If Pakistan score 300 runs they have to restrict england below 24 runs.
If Pakistan score 350 Runs they need to restrict England at 74 Runs.
But if Pakistan Score 400 Runs then they have to restrict England at 123 Runs.
If England make 100 Runs then Pakistan have to chase that target in 4.3 overs.
If England scores 200 Runs, pakistan need to chase that target in 6.3 overs.
If England scores 250 Runs then Pakistan to chase that target in 6.5 overs.
If England scores 300 then Pakistan need to chase that target in 7.5 overs which is totally impossible.
