My California - My Silver Stacks
For this weeks Show Us Your California contest by @socalsteemit I decided to show off...
My Silver Stacks!!
A few years ago I had setup a meetup of Southern California Steemians where we went up to the San Gabriel river for some gold panning and a picnic. And at that meetup my friend @brian.rrr gave me my first ever silver round, one of the official 2018 Steem silver rounds! Being a gold prospector, crypto enthusiast, and libertarian I've always been a fan of hard money, but somehow had never gotten into stacking silver. And even after Brian's gift I still didn't really get into it until I started following another fellow Californian @silversaver888 who is the ultimate silver stacker! Seeing her posts about her amazing silver collection was really impressive and got me wanting more silver myself. And when I saw this post about the Engelhard American Prospector Silver Round which features a gold prospector panning for gold in a river, I knew I had to get one. And once I had bought my own I was hooked and I started looking out for other cool and interesting silver rounds and every few months or so I've been picking up a new round. And while I am most definitely nowhere near the level of silver stacks that @silversaver888 has, I've built a nice small little collection of rounds.
As a crypto enthusiast I absolutely had to get one of these Bitcoin rounds.
Next I got this Route 66 round. My grandparents came to California from Illinois on the Route 66 way back in the late '40s, and the nearest city to me, San Bernardino, hosts the official "Route 66 Rendevous" each year and my home is only a few blocks away from the classic route. So with all that I HAD to get this round!
My next round pays homage to native americans and the buffalo that they hunted. The SilverTowne Buffalo Silver Round!
My next round also celebrates native americans, but in this case the Aztec people of south america, featuring an Aztec warrior on the front and an Aztec calendar on the back.
While I am not Chinese I am a dog lover. So when I saw this Perth Mint 2018 "Year of the Dog" Chinese zodiac silver round featuring a dog on the front I decided to pick it up.
My next round once again relates to me being a rebellious libertarian. The Money Metals Exchange "Don't Tread On Me" 1 Oz Silver Round featuring the Gadsden flag on the front and the Boston Tea Party on the back.
As a person who loves spending lots of time way out in remote mountain wilderness areas I not only believe in Bigfoot, I believe that I've actually seen one! So buying this Intaglio Mint Bigfoot Silver Round was a must.
This one is kinda related to the Bigfoot round as they are both part of the "Cryptozoology series". And while I know far less about the Yeti, the design was so cool that I absolutely had to get me one of "The Yeti" silver rounds once again from Intaglio Mint.
Nice collection! I love silver stacking
Wow, amazing pieces my friend! Love the stories behind many of them! Great stuff! 😎
