My favorite desert

Coconut candy is my favoritre very sweet and help to quench my craving for sweets. I chose coconut candy because it is healthier than the Sweets that are sold in stores. They are very easy to make too. Everyone enjoys this desert.

The coconut tree is a prominent tree in the Eastern part of Nigeria. Some families like mine have at least three big (3) trees of Coconuts in their farms and around their homes. The Coconut fruit is multifunctional; you can make so many useful things from them. You can make coconut flour, coconut oil for cooking and body moisturizing, Activated charcoal for acne and pimples, coconut milk for cooking and baking, the water for body detox and on and on.

My mother served us coconut dishes and snacks most of the time; coconut and boiled corn, coconut and bread, coconut and Jakpu (boiled, sliced and washed cassava) or coconut candy which is my favorite because it’s very sweet 😋.
The coconut fruit is nutritiously endowed naturally. Every part of it is useful from the shell to the water and even the tree it’s self. It’s also readily available.

For my recipe, I will be using these INGREDIENTS

~ Coconut (mature one)
~ Sugar (as required)
~ Water 1/2 cup
~ Grater
I switch off the heat and allow it to cool for a while, then mould into your desired shape. (You have to be fast about this because it hardens as it cools).
