"Steemit Engagement Challenge Season19 Week 5 | " Why is gender equality necessary? "
Hello friends, welcome to my blog for the week. This is my first participation in the SEC, and I want to ensure my delivery is well insightful to all. The topic of gender equality has been well established in so many countries, and we do know that it is a call to a fair share of human existence.
What does gender equality entail, and what are the advantages? |

Gender equality is like saying no marginalization to those who feel that their interests aren't well represented. When there is inequality, a person or group of people are marginalized or disenfranchised for one course or the other.
Gender equality, in this case, represents or entails even distribution and representation of. all genders in all given courses of human existence. Not given priority to one gender at the expense of the other. It does not serve the purpose that every gender matters which is the purpose of living.
When all genders are evenly represented, it brings about motivation and healthy competition. The supposedly marginalized gender (female) may be allowed to express themselves better when there is equality of all kinds. Everyone tends to contribute meaningfully for the course of living a happy life.
It alleviates incidences of low self-esteem and possibly depression. When people are suppressed or oppressed because of gender differences, no doubt, this has a toll on their psyche and hence affects their mental health and confidence as a person to function effectively.
Is gender equality crucial for all people, not just women? |

Funnily, the supposedly marginalized gender is women but this is not entirely the case. The men gender are seen also suffering from the same course. What we may have is the prevalence of women suffering and suppressed for one reason or the other, but the men also are involved.
It is understandable that women needs more opportunities to show up and showcase themselves in a free society or competition maybe due to the feminine build up, but this isn't to be blamed to the opposite gender since it is foundation thing inherited from creation.
A typical example of on of these women self ctrated attention is the Steem Ladies. If we also watch freely, I do not think we have that of men. This was done to gove them additional and expressive playing ground in the platform. Somenof the contests hosted therein are women exclusive. This is one of thought out ways to include them rootly into the platform activities.
Therefore, to me, it is crucial to have gender equality to all we do. No gender should.be treated less or oppressed beacuse of their creation.
What are your thoughts on gender equality, specifically concerning the circumstances in your country? |

One thing I have come to understand about gender equality is that, most advanced countries with democratic intents have more adherence to this other than developing or underdeveloped countries.
It is one that hinges in cultural norms and religion. Where therrnis visible adherence to culture and norms, there is more likelihood that gender equality may not be firm as required as this undermine the purpose for equality.
My country have morr passes on religion, tribe, culture, and ethnicity. I cannot say that this has been pushed to a reasonable state of agreement that equality is perceived. But it is a going concern given the awareness therein.
How can we educate our children to understand this issue? |

From the family, which is a major and key builder of children, we need to make them understand that no one is more or less the other. They should be treated equally and without obvious disparity.
From the school and educational point, this should be continued as well. In fact, it can also be added to their curriculum to drive.its effectiveness.

Gender equality is necessary, society has made progress in this area, except for some countries like in your case, my friend.
It is important to make children aware of this from a very early age because they will be men and women in the future and they must know everything about gender equality and the importance of gender equality for social, cultural and economic progress as a whole.
