Steemit Engagement Challenge S6/W3 | Express your special moments of the day

Hi friends, it's another great week in the community. I welcome everyone here as I try to engage us in my blog with the week's contest topic "Express your special moments of the day! #thediarygame". Let's get started...

It was the early hours of Monday morning when my day started. It was already 5 am when I woke up and thanked God for the breaking of a new day. I quickly checked my steemit platform for updates, and notifications to respond to as well as make comments. There was an early morning meeting slated for tenants in my place of residence by 7 am. I will quickly freshen up and joined others downstairs.

The main bone of contention was an unprecedented rent increment observed twice in the last two years to about 80%. It was quite disheartening and hence the needed meeting to give a common front. After deliberations, a legal letter of response was decided upon and correspondence was directed to them accordingly. In this letter, all pending issues yet to be given attention as it affects the tenant would be stated and a plea bargain to have a chat with the landlord directly.

Meeting ended exactly by 10 am with other issues raised, discussed, and resolved. It was indeed a fruitful gathering as we also decided to host an end-of-the-year party for everyone to mark a successful coexistence and peace integration of all concerned. A date was given for that. When it ended with a closing prayer, I quickly went up to have my breakfast as I was already famished.

I had a yummy yam porridge that was garnished with vegetable leaves. It's been a while since I had this so I decided we should have it this Monday morning. It was really yummy and greatly missed. I rested after this for a while with a bigger day in view as the day unfolds. Mondays are usually engagement days for us here, most meetings are now slated to hold on this particular day due to the sit-a-home orders that generally occur.

My good friend visited during this restful moment and decided to help us produce liquid soap with some of the available ingredients provided. This turn out to be a learning time for me as I watched her do the mixtures. Surprisingly, it all turned out bountifully just as anticipated.

_{Making of Liquid Soap}

I was able to realize about 10 liters of this liquid soap after the entire process and I must say I was impressed. The cost to value worth was indeed good and encouraged continuity in making this. This session happened to be the last indoor activity before I had a swell time out there. My outdoor moment started with another meeting in the house of God. This was an emergency meeting slated to give feedback on the just concluded yearly harvest as well as review the amended unit's Constitution and plan for a get-together for the year-end.

After this gathering of the brethren, one of us tricked us into a given venue close to the church where we were invited for a birthday party. We all innocently got there but it happened it was a trick. We decided to host ourselves since we were at the venue already.

It happened that the unplanned get-together was now taking a new shape as the turn-up was massive. We never entailed that this would be exceptional. We started ordering grilled meat (Suya) for chops while different persons at this time ordered their preferred drinks, but this was mostly sweetened yogurt.

When we ended around 6 pm, the mechanic returned my car which he carried to help correct some faults. I quickly headed home but was delayed due to the traffic jam within my route. But got home 30 minutes later than expected.

In conclusion, I was able to have a fulfilled day as I was able to have meetings that helped in resolving issues though its outcome yet to be quantified, I was able to learn the process of making liquid soap which was indeed worth the time given into this process. And then it was fulfilled outdoor gathering and sit-out which ended up with some appetizing chops and drinks.
