“Steemit Engagement Challenge - S13/W5 - 90's vs 2K"

Welcome to my page, friends! I'm delighted to join this great contest in its week 5 and most importantly on a topic that deals with our experience and perception of old and new eras. The 90s and 2K generation happen to have some contrasting similarities. Let me have a few minutes of your time, guys...

These are two different wonderful generations that brought the best out of their times. I am privileged to have stirred through the tides of these generations and have their different strengths and weaknesses. We cannot put the best in one and condemn the other as both their limitations or disadvantages just as enjoyed their goods.

In the 90s, life was a lot better and easy to navigate with little insecurity that we observe today. They were less crime and criminality as kids seemed to walk any time of the day without fear of kidnaps, unknown gunmen attacks, and lost life carelessly.

Due to the insatiable human needs, technological advancements have made the present generation of the 2k generation look a bit distant from what the 90s brought to us. These were the times we saw in the 90s when most of the technology was analog modernization we have today.

This brought about the internet and advanced communication we have today. For the sake of the massive communication breakthroughs through e-services and other veritable channels, I believe the 2K generation is most preferred for me. Security can be managed and enhanced over time which is one of my best memories of the old era. There are a lot of memories the 90s gave us which are enduring.

Oh wow! School life then was quite an impressive one. In the 90s when we went to schools, government schools were ranked the best given the standard of learning received. Schools were affordable as well with different government interventions to make it accessible.

Today, the reverse is the case where private schools are ranked as the best, and at this time they are quite expensive to attend. This is obvious in the region as I may not be too certain of other regions. Therefore, the cost of attending school is quite on the high side.

There are frequent strikes that have marred the educational sector recently, unlike the old era. These incessant strikes distorted the school curriculum/calendar and most times this increased the cost of keeping and giving children extra lessons to catch up.

The entertainment industry today is a complete contrast to the 90s. Though the 90s came with enough quality songs that were remarkable and easy to stand.

The present-day entertainment with music as the focus came with a lot of vibes. The hip-hop era has made entertainment a global stage.

The entertainment industry in my country is one sector that has made tremendous improvement over time. Today, it is one of the most improved sectors in the country with indigenous people flying the flag with great courage and ambiance.

Games and Sports have evolved over this period. I can remember vividly when tune in to watch matches, all we see is a black and white being running up and down in the television, but this is the reverse. The is bolder, graphics running in 3D and HD, and with improved lenses.

We can see many technological advancements that have been applied in the game of sports. The VAR is one typical of it. It has improved the game of sport by removing so many controversies observed from the game.

The Mario and Mortal Kombat we played then on cartridges have been improved online without any dependency on PlayStation and Xbox gamers.

I am not a sweet fan but I would remember that most sweets/candy that we licked then are no more in the trade anymore. Aside the Tom Tom which has continued to change shape and taste, every other sweets have gone out of the market.

But just as human needs continue to grow, it is also seen in every area of life. The candies of today are looking yummier than in the old era. Some are blended in different flavors and tastes to ensure everyone has something to cling to.
