Steemit being a Blockchained based platform has a distinctive rule it set out to it's user. This rule is called "Power Up". Power up is a process by which a steemian transfer his/her liquid steems to another form called Steem Power for the sole purpose of preservation. Powering up is one of the characteristics of Steemit. Powering up steems has prove to help steemians in diverse way. So, in this article, I'll love to show you how I powered up my liquid seems to steem power.

- The first step is to login to your wallet. When your steemit wallet is displayed, you can't perform any transaction unless you login with your master key.
- At your liquid steems, click the inverted arrow to bring out a pop-up box. In the notification, click power up.
- Type in the number of steems that you want to power up and click power up
Press ok in the next dialog box and your steems will automatically power up.

As I said earlier, Power up has a lot of benefits to offer to it's subscribers. Here are some of it.
- It Increase A Steemian's Voting Power: A large number of Steem Power will be equivalent to a high voting power. Whenever a steemian with a large number of Steem Power votes on a post, the post will be influenced positively.
- His/Her Influence will be Increased: Steem power has contributed to a person's influence on Steemit. For instance, an occasion is being hosted. A person with #2,000,000 and another with #50,000 shows up. It will be observed that the person with the worth of 2 million will be valued than the latter.
- It Encourage Saving Among Steemians: The power up initiative is a vital way to encourage the power of saving among steemians. Taking myself as a case study. If the power up initiative wasn't active on Steemit, I would have use every bit of my steems daily. But, this initiative has activate the spirit of saving in me.
