Hello to the beautiful people of this amazing community; yeah! It's a beautiful Monday and the sun is up in the sky, I wish you all a fantastic new week with great positive results.

It is the last week of season 19 engagement challenge and I must confess it's been a good ride, and I say a big congratulations and thank you to all the admins of this community for their team work; I'm still your girl @tripple-e dropping my entry on the aforementioned topic.

But before I start sharing my views through the contest questions; let me invite my friends

Social media is like a city that houses people from different races, ethnicities, religions and so on which coexist together through Performing different activities such as: chatting, posting, commenting and reacting to one another posts; infact it is designed for communications and interactions.

Social media is also like a showroom where we go to showcase our products; it could be goods, services, or display talents. So I call it "A global Market Square" with different markets such as:-
• WhatsApp
• Facebook
• Instagram
• Telegram
• X (Twitter)
• Messenger.

Those are the most common ones used; I know there are so many of them.

What are the benefits of social media to our society?

There are so many benefits of social media to our society,it is just left for us to recognize and then harness its potential so that we can be able to leverage on the social media benefits in creating, and connecting to a more informed community.

• One of the benefits of social media to us is what I called global connection:- it helps us build international relationships and fostering global exchange. You'll agree with me that, before the advent of mobile phones that leads to the existence of social media that it was very difficult to communicate and interact with our loved ones, friends and family who were not in the same state or locality with us.

Sometimes the only option was to express ourselves in a letter, then take it to the post office to post it and before the letter gets delivered to the designated location; my darlings it can take weeks but now the story has changed; we can sit at the comfort of our homes and communicate with someone as far away in South Africa like our grand patron @patjewell ma'am.
Isn't that a beautiful and easy thing?.

• And then another benefits of social media to the society is that it gives access to information on a vast pace on different topics making us to stay informed on the current happenings around the world. Therefore social media is "A newsroom".

• Social media gives room to us to connect with people who has similar interests with us, identities, and who we share like passion too, and believe me this can bring about a sense of belonging.

What are the evils caused by social media in our society?

The gullible are always on the lookout for an opportunity to perpetuate evil.
There's a place in the bible if you are a Christian you'll understand it better 😀, it says "The devil is moving to and fro like a roaring lion looking for who to devour".

What do I mean?. My darlings the evil that some people used social media to do is disheartening.

I want to share a story with us, Aha! This story is ever fresh in my head because it happened in my state, I know most of you must have seen it on social media or heard it on the news about a certain university graduate a girl who awaited her youth service saw a post on Facebook precisely about a job vacancy in a certain place; so out of excitement that she has seen something that would give her a little money while waiting to leave for her youth service decided to give it a try but luck didn't smile at her as she was lured and butchered like an animal (killed) in an uncompleted building. It was a terrible occurrence that dented the image of my State at that time.

You can see the evil caused by social media; some people get scammed, killed, and even lured to be raped in the name of a friend they met on social media.
Please let's be very careful because there are a lot of wolves in sheep clothing roaming the street of social media.

Is social media really useful for common people or corporate companies?

Social media is useful to both the common people and corporate companies in the sense that; a common man uses social media to run ads on his/her page to promote his/her business to gain more feasibility and access a wider range of audience. Likewise:-
A corporate company who would want to stand out and make a name would also employ and uses social media in their dealings to achieve whatever.

The aim is to gain feasibility and make profits so whatever ways they know how to do whether as an individual or as a company. And social media has really helped a lot of people to attend greater heights and live their dreams.

Give your personal opinion and conclusion about social media.

I wouldn't want to say anything about the wrong side of social media even humans has good and bad sides but I'll focus on the good sides, that's the benefits of social media which I had already mentioned but I just want to draw my conclusion and give my opinion as well.

I want to make reference to a woman 👆by name "Angela Nwosu", she's a Nigerian but based in Dubai. To this woman, social media is her office,she lives and earn from social media to the extent that she bought herself over 9 to 10 mobile phones just to use them for different activities. When she displayed the phones on her page and talked about what she uses each of of it for; I marveled. she does no other job than to sit in the comfort of her beautiful home to create contents and make cool cash from it. That's the source of her livelihood; you can search her on Facebook and confirm.

You too can use social media to earn a living. As a matter of fact I'm planning on how to develop my page and then grow it, just needs some guidance here and there.

So therefore you can earn, meet, develop your potentials and talents through social media.
