About NilSagar Lake
Nilsagar Lake is located in the Nilphamari District. It's located around 48 kilometers away from my home. The lake is around 29 kilometers away from the Nilphamari bus terminal. It can be said that the lake is located a bit far from the city.
It's an old lake with a lot of history associated with it. It's heard that a Hindu king made this lake to meet the water demand of his area. Some believe that the lake was built to quench the thirst of the king's large herd of cows. Whatever the reason the lake was created, it was a huge water source and presumably a water source for the people of the area.
My Travel To NilSagar Lake
I visited this lake two times in my life. I visited this lake in the last year. I traveled there with my friend Shuvo. It was a sudden visit to this beautiful lake. On my first travel to Nilsagar Lake, I didn't visit the whole place. But on my last visit, I took a walk around the lake and enjoyed the beauty of every corner of the lake. So the last visit was memorable for us.
It's very easy to travel to the Nilsagar Lake from our city. At first, we came to the Saidpur town by bus. From Saidpur, you can reach Nilphamari by bus or auto. I think you can reach Nilphamari quickly if you take a bus. From Nilphamari bus station you can take an auto rickshaw to reach Nilsagar Lake.
I was amazed by the natural beauty of this place. The whole lake is surrounded by a lot of plants. The four-cornered lake is located in the middle of a lot of plants. Honestly, I was feeling great when I was walking through the plants. It felt like I was walking in the forest.
The natural beauty around the lake was mesmerizing. Flowers bloomed in the water of the lake. Besides, there are several other flowering plants on the bank of the lake. Being naturally rich, the presence of birds here is noticeable. The environment here is filled with the chirping of birds, which increases the fascination with the environment. I walked around the entire lake with my friend, gossiped with my friend, and enjoyed the amazing atmosphere of the lake.
The Environment of a Children Park in NilSagar Lake
There is a little park for the children. The presence of a children's park near the lake adds to the joy of visiting the park. One of the attractions of this tourist center is the children's park. Although the children's park is not too big. But there are several rides here to keep children entertained.
The entrance gate to Children's Park is quite attractive. There are several replicas of animals in the park. Among them, the replica of the peacock is notable.
Various Shops in the NilSagar Lake
There are various shops in the Nilsagar Lake area. Most of the shops here offer women's cosmetics, ornaments, children's toys, home decor items, gift items, etc. What I liked the most was the Walmart and home decor items here.
I noticed the abundance of women's ornamental rings in the shops here. There were many kinds of toys for children in the shops. If your child comes here and gets serious about buying a toy, then you can buy a toy at a very low price from these shops.
Besides, there are several eateries in the lake area. Most of these are street food shops. You will find some delicious snacks at the street food shops. There are no good restaurants here. You must go to the city for good restaurants.
Transportation System and Travel Cost for the Tour to Nilsagar Lake
You can hire a bus, micro, or auto to travel to Nilsagar Lake. The transportation system of the lake is very good. You can also reach Nilphamari town by railway. And the distance from the railway station to the lake is not much.
If you are coming by air then you have to land at Saidpur Airport. Then from there you can reach Nilsagar lake by road.
And travel expenses are affordable. According to my calculation, the travel expenses will be completed within a maximum of 300 BDT for one person who starts his travel from my area. Which is approximately 2.56 USD or 9.1 steem.
Conclusion
Nilsagar lake trip was very enjoyable for me. Anyone would love to travel to such a place with family or friends. The feeling of spending time with loved ones in the natural environment of the lake will be blissful. There is much to know about the history of this lake. It will be an interesting travel spot for any tourist. So I would recommend everyone to visit this lovely lake at least once in a lifetime.
