Steemit Engagement Challenge S11/W5 – Create a handmade gift for your loved ones with your own had and ideas

Hello, my fellow steemians, Today I come back with you to participate in the SEC11 W5 contest hosted by @hindwhale through the Hind Whale Community. I take time to participate in this contest because I am not a very creative person when it comes to handcrafted items. But, as I want to participate in this contest, I decided to share with you the birthday card that I created three weeks earlier. Now let’s move to the entry.

To whom are you gave this item?

My daughter-in-law’s birthday was last August 8th, so I wanted to give her a present along with a card. Every year, she came to live with us, I gave her both a birthday card and a gift. This time I wanted to gift her Bathik Lounge, so I ordered both a sarong and a lounge in the same design and color for my son and his wife. I made a lovely flower out of ribbon for the gift wrap and a birthday card out of half sheets. I could not get the photograph of the flower I created step by step, but I could get the birthday card creation step by step.

To create a birthday card, I used red and white color half sheets, platinum pen, and sticker card. First, I folded half of each half-sheet in the middle.

Next, I cut out a section of the red half sheet as shown in the picture.

Then I pasted the white color half sheet in the middle of the red color one.

Now the card was ready. Next, I used a platinum pen and drew a few lines in front of a red color half-sheet.

Next, I got pearl-shaped stickers and pasted them on the picture. Then it created the image shown as follows. Later, using the same pearl-shaped sticker, I made a flower at the end of two lines. Inside the card, I wrote Happy Birthday Dhoni and dated it.

For the gift wrap, I made a lovely flower out of paper ribbon. I pasted that paper ribbon flower to the corner of the parcel after wrapping the bathik lounge. Because I was unable to photograph the ribbon flower step by step, I am sharing with you the parcel that I decorated after wrapping.

Which special day you offered him/her?

I brought the gift and a card with heart-shaped milk rice that I prepared especially for her birthday, early in the morning of the 8th. She was surprised to find me with milk rice and a gift early in the morning on her doorstep.

What makes the gift unique?

I could have bought a birthday card from a store, but I thought that making one by hand would make her feel special. In addition, a lovely paper ribbon flower made by my hand added extra beauty to the gift. Therefore, I assumed it was a special present for her.
