Various influences shapes the development of a child in his or her life. From the loving guidance of parents, to interaction with friends and siblings, and teachers. Each plays a vital role in modifying the character of the child.

A child's enviroment also plays a role, as it impacts their emotional and intelectual development. Experiences with family, peers, and community all plays a vital role in shaping the character of a child.

Parents are often seen as the basic influencers of a child's life. They are the once who lays the foundation of a child's understanding of the world. The father and the mother contributes in this development, by showing love, care, attention, support and discipline.
The father contributes, by imparting a sense of authority, stability and security. They do this by teaching life problem solving techniques, shapes the future relationship of the child, and encouraging independence.
The mother contributes by showing perpetual love, emotional support and nurturing.

Teachers plays a significant role in the development of a child. A good relationship between a child and the teacher, can impact positively on the child's intelectual and social skills. While in the classroom, teachers do not only impart academic knowledge, but also impart positive and important values and skills, that aids in development. A good teacher will always respond to a child's needs for his or her success in academics.

A child's siblings also contributes to the social and emotional development. The loving relationship between sibling enhances and teaches co-operation, love, sharing, and ways of resolving conflict through play and interaction.

As child grows older, the influence of friends becomes more stronger. Peer group influence could be positive, and it could also be negative. Friends, plays a very important role in developing a child, by shaping attitudes, behaviors, and interests. Good friendships are supportive, guiding a child through social challenges.

Each of these source of a child's development holds great significance. From the basic development from the parents, to the teacher, siblings and friends, each of these sources needs to be balanced to produce a resilient and well rounded individual.

In conclusion, personally, the strongest influence on children cannot, and shouldn't be given to a single source. It comes from the collective contribution of the parents, teachers, siblings, and friends. By balancing all these, it gives a healthy step by step development in character, in a child's life.
