I personally consider this article written by @ahlawat as the best post of the week for the following reasons:
Firstly, the author presents the subject matter in a very simple, easy-flowing manner, which I found very pleasant.
Secondly, the author highlights the significance of the institution of marriage and its positive impact on individuals, families, communities, and social aspects of life.
Thirdly, the author beautifully explains the premises on which Hindu marriage is founded. Though the author has chosen to write about only Hindu marriage, its various aspects can very well be found in marriages in communities other than Hindu as well.
In today's society, especially in Indian society, we are witnessing sweeping changes in the mindset of both men and women regarding the concept of marriage. On the one hand, marriages are held with all the pomp and show, flaunting both the traditional Indian marriage customs and also the westernized glitz and glamour. On the other hand, people are not respecting the basic premises on which the institution of marriage has been built for ages. This has resulted in increasing cases of short-lived marriages and unrest in society. So, I feel this article by @ahlawat is very timely and relevant. It brings to memory the yesteryears when divorces in India were a rarity, and marriages were held with great jubilation and also lasted long. It was a time when joint families existed, and marital life was nurtured within the framework of family values and traditions.
Yes, I highly recommend this post by @ahlawat to other readers because this article makes us aware of the premises on which the institution of marriage is built upon since ages, and what we can do in present times so that the individuals entering into the marital bond find it a rewarding and pleasant relationship.

Wooow. Beautiful write up you have here. Good to know that some people still uphold the basis for marital relationships. I feel the decadence has really eaten into every fiber of society cos over here too some people are only after the pomp their marriage creates and not after the real relationship and then the marriage ends up not lasting.
