Hello guys,
It's a pleasure on my path to share with you all my entries in this week's contest which are titled "HWC Contest #38|| POWERUP & WIN WEEK 29" which is organized by @jyoti-thelight. It is an interesting contest and I would love to drop my entry ASAP.

Before we go ahead I would like to invite @aaliarubab, @saintkelvin17, and @bossj23 to join this contest in this community today and share their participation as well, I do hope to see and read your entries as well.

The procedure to power up our Steem can be seen via the screenshots below. Let's get started.

Firstly, go to your wallet and log in using the private posting or private active key. You will see the wallet in the form below if you have properly logged in.

Secondly, click on the drop-down menu which is located close to the Steem token, and then select the power-up option among the list of all the drop-down menus that show up.

Enter the amount of Steem you want to power up in the column provided and then click on the power-up button as seen from the screenshot presented below.

Click on the 🆗 button when you have confirmed the transfer to vesting. Here you will be told to confirm because once you have confirmed the transfer, the process will be complete meaning you will be locking your Steem for a while.

Check your Steemit wallet and be sure that the Steem has moved to the SP side as you can see from the screenshot I presented below.

Write the importance of performing powerup.

There are many importance of powering our Steem token and for me, the main reason why we power up and are encouraged to always do that is because we want more holders of the Steem token which also helps to increase the price of the asset.

The importance of Power Up Again is that it helps Steemians earn more rewards by voting. You all know that with a higher SP, you can earn more curation rewards when you support other Steemians with upvotes.

So powering up is a means to help Steemians also invest their earning on the platform which will help the growth of the platform as the price of the token continues to increase.

Lastly, another major importance of powering up is that you will get the privilege to do a lot on the platform such as participating in contests, applying for any position within the platform, and many more.

I have seen someone who wasn't able to post because of a lack of SP so, with SP all the activities within the platform will be very possible for you as a Steemian. This is the main reason or importance of powering up our Steem.
