Hello my beautiful steemians across the globe, I trust your day is going on smoothly, mine is fine as well. So excited to participate in this wonderful food diary contest organized by @jyoti-thelight.

My activities started pretty well that day, after I attended to my morning chores and also prepared myself well for work, it was now time to sort out what I wanted to eat as my breakfast and also prepare the food I will be taking to work to eat for my lunch.

Actually there was no cooked food in the freezer apart from the fresh egg and bread which I will used for my breakfast. Since I'm not the fans of patronizing restaurant, I just had to take few minutes to prepare noodles and take to work.

I prepared the noodles using the frying method in preparing it and I also fried the egg too, I used part of the fried egg to mixed with bread and drank tea that morning.

The noodles I prepared turned out to be too much for my lunch box, little was remaining, I added it to my bread and used for my tea that morning.

Then at work, after all the busy day and attending to numerous customers with the kids, serious hunger came calling.

Thank God I came with my lunch, while other of my colleagues were busy looking for what food to buy and eat and also complaining of the bad taste from the food vendor there, I wasn't bothered at all because I knew I am covered 😜.

After enjoying my lunch, I went back to my duty post. After much sales and it was time for our closing, we packed in the goods and locked the door if the shop and went to our different houses.

As I got home since there was no food at home, I decided to prepare a concoction rice using scent leaf and egg as protein.

And I will be showing you the method I used in preparing my concoction rice, before then, let me list out the ingredients I used in cooking my rice.

Ingredients

  • Rice
  • Eggs
  • Scent leaf
  • Maggi
  • Fresh pepper
  • Onions
  • Crayfish
  • Red oil

Preparation proper

Before I begin cooking anything, I will first of all prepare all my items and keep so that it will ease me while on the process. In this case I have parboiled my rice and also pounded the crayfish and fresh pepper and set aside, I also sliced the onions and the scent leaves and set aside.

I did not want to use the frying method in preparing the rice, I just used a simple method. I poured the rice into the cooking pot, placed it on fire, then I begin adding all the ingredients one after the other into the pot of rice.

I will be showing you the process of putting the ingredients one after the other into the pot by using a picture for clearer understanding.

After putting all the ingredients I to the pot and added the quantity of water that I wanted and suitable for the rice.

After I put water, I stirred it all together and then added my two fresh eggs into the pot of rice and cover the pot to cook for about 25 to 30 minutes.

After 30 minutes, I opened and checked, the water has started drying slowly as the rice as has become softer too. I then put the red oil, little quantity, then I cover the pot and allowed it to Cook for about 10 to 15 minutes.

After 15 minutes, the water has dried but not to dry, that was when I now put the slice scent leaves that I slice and set aside. That was the last ingredient I put in the rice, I turned in the scent leaves into the rice side by side before covered the pot back and allow it to simmer for 2 to 3 minutes.

After the 3 minutes, I checked and the rice was done and I turned off the cooker.

Wow, how lovely food you have enjoyed in your food diary. Your full day was well-planned and which included delicious homemade foods. Staring the beautiful day with bread, tea, egg and also noodles. Noting can beat the taste of homemade foods and also helps us to maintain a healthy lifestyle. Your appealing Red oil concoction rice was amazing. I’m sure the ingredients which you add here make the taste of the food flavourful. I have a question when bringing out the eggs from the rice and uncovering the shell from it? I love the way you managed your home chores, went to your workplace, made some tasty food, and shared with us. Thanks for sharing some amazing food with us.
