Hello friends greetings to all. Hope you all are well. By the grace of Allah I am also well. Each of the engagement contests this week is fantastic. So today I am back to participate in this wonderful engagement contest organized by this community. The name of this contest is "Steemit Engagement Challenge S11/W4 - How is democracy functioning in your country?" . Democracy is the process of governing a country. So I will discuss in detail how democracy works in my country, stay with me.

How is democracy functioning in your country?

Democracy means the governance of a country, where all the citizens of that country have equal rights to elect representatives. My country name is Bangladesh. Bangladesh first became known as a democratic country after winning the Bangladesh-Pakistan war in 1971. Democracy means the rule of the people. All the people of the country can unite and elect whomever they want through voting. We feel ashamed to talk about the democracy of our country. Because currently the democratic system of Bangladesh is very heinous. It has started since the current government came to power. Democracy has been broken due to some reasons of the government.

parliamentary election system : Earlier, people could vote for whoever they wanted. But now no one can vote as he wants. If he votes at his own will, he is likely to be in danger. There were even cases of autovote during elections. Even though polling stations are the private stage of people in the national elections, they are returning to the despair when they go to vote.

Law of the government : Earlier people used to go to the police if they were in trouble, but now going to the police means being afraid of losing money. The laws of the country are now being broken. Administrative activities are not liked by people.

the government's behavior with the people : The government's behavior with the people is very heinous. When the government comes to power, the people of the country have become helpless. If someone tells the truth, he is taken into custody. The country has become the name of democracy in dictatorship. Democracy is being sold in the name of development in the country.

Is your country free from any domination ruled?

I have come to know Bangladesh as a democratic country. I knew this country was a peaceful country. But if it is about freedom from the rule of the country then I will say not at all. Bangladesh has been ruled by a political party for many years, meaning the current government. They have been ruling the country for many years, they don't want to give up their power. Many people of our country have been harassed because of this political party.

Many people have died for them. Actually our democratic system of Bangladesh is very weak. As an example, we can say the conflict between the government and the opposition. Common people of the country are harassed for their clash. In order to be free from dominance, the election system of Bangladesh has to be managed properly, and that is not possible in Bangladesh.

The democratic system of Bangladesh has become very ugly. People don't want to give up their power now. The US has issued strict warnings on the electoral system due to the spread of dominance. Administrative people want to be limited in their power. For this reason, the common people of Bangladesh have no dominance.

Is your country self-sufficient in food production?

Self-sufficiency in food production in Bangladesh is incomplete. The country's population is constantly increasing and limited land poses a problem. This limits options for scaling up food production. Bangladesh is dependent on food production and has to import most of the food products. Bangladesh is known as an agricultural country. The main food of our country is rice. Paddy becomes rice and rice becomes rice.

Farmers of Bangladesh grow paddy. Many people in Bangladesh are engaged in agriculture, providing food to those of us who buy rice and eat it. However, self-sufficiency in food production in Bangladesh is incomplete. The country's population is constantly increasing and limited land poses a problem. This limits options for scaling up food production. Bangladesh is dependent on food production and has to import most of the food products.

Although most of Bangladesh's rice production is in Mymensingh district, it is known to all. But the population of the country is increasing so much that as a result there is a shortage of rice. But another problem is that people are creating their own employment and housing on different cultivation fields, thereby reducing the production of paddy. That is why Bangladesh is not self-sufficient in food production.

How is youth employment in your country?

Youth employment in our country is very bad. Because the population of Bangladesh is increasing, there is a lack of youth employment in the country. Currently, the biggest problem in Bangladesh is the unemployment problem. Unemployment is constantly increasing in Bangladesh. Educated students are graduating from various educational institutions every year. But employment cannot be created for them. That is why unemployment is increasing. Because of this, many educated people are working as daily labourers.

Youth employment in government sector :

Nowadays it has become very difficult to get government jobs in Bangladesh. Getting a government job in this country means becoming a king. Even though there are sufficient number of graduates in the country, their merit list is not getting jobs. Corruption is going on in every department of this country, so whoever can pay more money or bribe will be given government job. Besides, there should be various sources in the case of government jobs.

Youth employment in the private sector :

Talking about private jobs makes me cry. In private companies, people have to work for lower wages than their education level. Experience in private jobs is provided. For this many unemployed youths are working as masons. Many are going abroad due to lack of jobs in the country. Like I also tried many job tests and tried but didn't get a job. Unemployment is more than employment in this country. For this, more employment should be created than required.

I love my country and its people very much. After many hardships and wars, we became Bangladeshis. Honor those who died for the country. Although there are many opportunities in Bangladesh, there are employment opportunities. But due to corruption, all the systems of the country have been destroyed.

A country can progress only when that country is free from corruption. I want my country to be corruption free. Let everyone decide the government according to their own freedom. According to the current situation in Bangladesh, the government system of the country needs to change. I want our country's military and governance system to be run honestly. I want the laws of Bangladesh to be honest.

Actually the people of Bangladesh are not at peace, especially the unemployed people and the poor people. I can also hope that our country will take place in the list of developed countries. I pray for all the people of my country, I stand by them. I can do everything for the betterment of my country. I want to improve for the country by working hard like the people of my country.
