It's actually good to know we still have contest that catalysis steem growth, well maybe it because I've not been exploring the platform well enough lately. I just stumbled upon this and then decided to hop in on it. What a very motivating way to embrace the power up culture.
A very big thanks to @jyoti-thelight for coming up with this initiative. It's really good to know we are in the 43 week of this initiative which I've fallen in love with already...lols. Anyways let me show you my power up process which cleary shows I love the power up culture.
I will demonstrate the process to the best of my ability, of course simplifying and making it comprehensive enough even for a newbie who stumbles upon this post. Let's get into it right away guys.
Step 1: Log into your Steemit wallet and using your private active key. Kindly note that the private key is the key that grants you access into your wallet for this operation.
Step 2: You get the interface below after a successful log in in whether with your PC or mobile.

Step 3: Click on the drop-down arrow-like icon on the place written "Steem" just as seen in the screenshot below and then select the powerup option.

Step 4: Put in the amount of steems you would love to power up and then click on the power up button just as seen in the screenshot below.

Step 5: Click on the OK button to authenticate your transaction just as seen in the screenshot below.

Step 6: Go back to your wallet,and then check your steem balance. If it doesn't reflect, you will then have to refresh your wallet for it to be updated. Below is my before and after power up balance.

Powering up is a culture that must be embraced by all on the platform. There are several reasons why users power up on the platform but if you ask me, the most important of them all is for Growth. When you power up, you're investing and this singular act gives you influence on the platform.
It positions users well for opportunities on the platform.in addition most especially, you earn what we call curation reward. It only those who have invested by power up substantial amount of steems that can earn substantial amount of curation.
Powering up also helps you become responsible for other users on the platform because you can delegate and help them thrive especially the newbies on the platfrom that needs delegation to get started. This exercise has so many benefits attached to it. As for me, there's no going back on it...#welovepowerup.
