Steemit Engagement Challenge S6/W1 - List Your Childhood Outdoor Games, Which are Not Famous Globally

in Hindwhale Community2 years ago

Hello Steemians,
You are welcome here. I am pleased to have you here. I have discussed the outdoor games that I played during my childhood. Gone are those days where we used to play as kids, shouting and running around the street. Then there was a lot of fun, as compared to what the children of this generation are playing today.

Here In this post, I have shared some of the outdoor games that I played very well during my childhood days.

Tinko Tinko Outdoor Game

Almost all children have played this game because of how inspiring the song is. The rules of this clapping game state that you must clap in an ascending order and without skipping a beat. Back in my days in elementary school, girls were mostly the players of this game, but the boys never held back when it came to having fun.

The song "Tinko Tinko" is repeated throughout the game with a catchy melody that is impossible to forget. Some children had to successfully complete all ten of the required steps in order to win, while others had an unending supply of opportunities to set new records each day. Breaks were never boring. Oh, gone are the days when children gathered together to play.

Suweh/hopscotch outdoor game

The amusing thing about this game is that while many adults or teenagers today recognize it as hopscotch, many others used to call it suweh. Kids play the game in classrooms and on sidewalks all across the world. You can draw the lines in the sand for all nine boxes using chalk, a rock, sticks, or your fingertips, depending on the type of terrain you were playing on.

After the first round game

The game requires a minimum of two players and is played as follows: Each musician had to write a number from 1 to 5 with their fingers at the end of the song by sweeping one of their hands back and forth across a surface. The person with the lowest number had to extend their hand in the clapping position and let all the other players slap it, one by one. Some kids went too far with the game, but it was all in good fun until someone's mother showed up at school to inform the principal.

Who is in the garden game

This was a game that was played in public settings like parks, recreation centers, events, and more. The children would form a large circle, and to encourage everyone to do so, they would often recite the rhyme "Build a big circle, like your mother's cooking pot." A youngster would enter the center of the circle, after which the children would begin singing the following song:

Who is in the garden?

Respond : "A little nice boy orgirl.l"

The person in the circle respond: "Can I visit him/her, please?"

Respond: "Bring your parents if you wish to see them." So, come with me.

After the song is over, the children count down from 10, and the player attempting to find the girl must swiftly pick parents while running around the circle in order to win. The best time to play this game is in the cool, calm evening. It drew a lot of people together and exposed a lot of childish crushes.

Cinderella wore a yellow dress.

Like virtually every other game in Nigeria, the name of the game is taken from the opening line of the song. Each player would take a seat in a circle and sing the legendary song. Although the game was amusing, conflicts frequently broke out. There was no end to it; it would continue until everyone fell asleep. the match

Bo Ju Bo Ju Outdoor Game

Everyone enjoyed playing the game of hide and seek, known in Yoruba as Boju Boju. One person would search for them while everyone hid, continuing to do so until the seeker gave up or everyone was located. In this game, there are several legendary characters who were never located.

El escondite es un juego bastante conocido, en mi país también lo solíamos jugar, pero realmente planteas unos juegos que es la primera vez que escucho de ellos.

Many games that I had not heard or read before. Surely fewer and fewer children stop having fun in this way, and so good that they are for the socialization of children. It seems that digitization is taking over everything, don't you think?

Childhood was very good in outdoor games. It was great to play all these games as a kid. Then it seemed as if the day would never end. And you have given a very good introduction to these games. Thank you very much for this.
