Hello, dear friends! How is everyone doing? I hope you are all well and enjoying your time with your loved ones, no matter where you are. Today, I want to share another day of my life with you all. I hope you find some time to read my post and that you find it enjoyable enough to upvote.

It happened again that I looked for an early time to get up and start my day early to maximize my time and have enough hours to finish my work throughout the day. Once again, the birds living nearby came to my help, chirping on the windows of my room. Though it made me a bit irritated, I quickly got up, prepared myself for the morning prayers, and went to the nearby mosque. After finishing my prayers and making supplications, I headed back home to do some gardening. I worked in my lawn to make it look beautiful and improve the aesthetics of my place. Gardening has been my hobby for a long time; I have put a lot of effort and investment into it. It’s something I love deeply, and I don’t let weeds or anything else spoil it. For that reason, I remain very cautious and prefer to do these gardening activities early in the day.

After finishing the gardening, I set off for a walk toward a nearby village along the newly metalled road. I did some jogging, broke a sweat, and burned some calories to help myself stay fit and agile throughout the day. Upon returning, I had my breakfast and then went to my office to continue the routine digitization of revenue records for which I have been deputed to the Budgam office, which is a little far for me. However, I take the shortest possible route, making it a manageable posting. Upon reaching the office, I immediately got into my routine work, set my target for the day, and by afternoon, I was able to complete it.

Heading back home, I had a few activities in mind to accomplish. First, after reaching home, I freshened up and ate something. Then, after a short rest, I went to see the different items my mother had put out in the sunshine to dry. These are food items we consume during the winters—various vegetables and cereals dried up in advance, as they come in handy when harsh winters make it difficult to go out in the snow for supplies. This has been a long-standing tradition in the valley, where people have experienced severe winters for generations. Over time, they developed such practices to help themselves manage during those cold months. These dried items are quite useful alternatives and have a unique taste of their own.

Later, I visited my maternal uncle’s newly built house, which is still under construction, to see the progress. Some masons were plastering the walls, while the carpenters were working on the trusses. As the house was still being built, I felt scared to go to the top floor since I have a fear of heights. I didn’t stay there long; after enjoying the surrounding views for a while, I returned home, sat down to watch TV, and enjoyed my favorite show, KBC, watching people test their luck and earn money by answering questions. Around 9:30 PM, I had my dinner and went to bed, quickly falling asleep.
