The Diary game. A Day of Errands: From Office Work to Market Visits and Late-Night Reflections
Greetings, dear friends! How are you all? I hope you’re doing well and making the most of your day. Wishing you all good health, happiness, and a prosperous time ahead.
Today, I’m here to share another day from my life with you. I hope you’ll take a moment to read about my experiences and find it worthwhile. Your time, feedback, and support mean a lot to me.
This morning, I woke up early. These days, mornings are very cold, making it difficult to get out of bed. However, once a habit is formed, it doesn’t let you stay in bed for long. When I got up, I went to the mosque for prayers. The morning prayer brings me peace and tranquility, which keeps me happy throughout the day.
I performed ablution for the prayer, and thankfully, the water in the geyser was warm, so I could use hot water. Otherwise, performing ablution with cold water and stepping outside becomes extremely challenging, almost like freezing. After the prayer, I made supplications and then returned home.
It’s too cold to go for a morning walk, as the chill poses a risk, so I did some light indoor exercises to stay warm. Once I felt I had burned a sufficient number of calories, I freshened up and sat down with my family for breakfast.
After having breakfast, I headed to the office. These days, there is a lot of work at the office, especially with the ongoing preparations for the Panchayat elections, where our active participation is crucial.
Today, I had to submit the accounts and reconciliation statement of the 14th Finance Commission at the office. This information needed to be sent to the Budgam District Administration. So, I reached the office early in the morning and handed over the necessary documents.
These funds had been credited to the block accounts a few years ago. After utilizing some of the money for developmental works, a balance amount remained. Now, we had to account for those funds and might even have to return them eventually. Hence, completing this task was very important.
After finishing my work, I went to my regular barber for a haircut. My hair had grown quite long and had started to irritate me. After getting the haircut, I felt much better.
After getting my haircut, I went to a nearby mill to buy flour, which is where I usually go. However, when I reached there, I found out that the mill was closed, and they didn’t have any flour available.
I then headed to another mill nearby. Upon reaching there, I discovered that they also didn’t have the type of flour I usually buy. I took a quick round inside the mill but left soon after. They asked me to come back the next day. Since I always get my flour from this mill, I decided to return the following day and headed back home.
After leaving the mill, I headed home but got stuck in traffic for quite some time. Slowly, I made my way through the jam, and eventually, I managed to get out of it. I started walking quickly towards home and finally reached in the evening.
Once home, I had a cup of tea and then took a short nap as I was exhausted. The rest helped me feel refreshed. After that, I went to the market to buy a few items and also met some friends there.
I returned home late in the evening and had dinner around 8:30 PM. After dinner, I spent some time studying and doing a bit of office work. Finally, at around 11:30 PM, I went to bed, thus wrapping up my day.
