The development of science and technology has had a positive impact on human civilization, but it cannot be denied that technology also has a negative impact if it is not used wisely and with consideration.

Electricity is a product of technology and because its presence has had a lot of influence on living things, "time, place and cost efficiency" is a sentence that can represent the use of electricity in the order of life.

It cannot be denied that electricity has become a primary need which is a basic element in the process of life, in fact all activities carried out without electricity will be delayed, electricity users will complain about their work being delayed, and they will even experience significant losses due to decreased production output.

Can you imagine and realize that electrical energy produced through non-renewable natural resources will leave human civilization behind! It seems impossible to happen, but in fact in the future the world will be dark without electrical energy.

Dependence on electrical energy is likened to oxygen which the body needs as a physiological need to help bind hemoglobin to be distributed throughout the body. It is very unfortunate when humans do not use it wisely so that it has implications for the sustainability of the earth.

The role of humans should be as guardians of the earth, by balancing and utilizing electrical energy according to needs. I want to give an example of one thing that can be done to address the use of electrical energy in the kitchen.

Using sawdust as an alternative that can be used for cooking, looks silly and seems like a waste of time, but can indirectly fulfill human needs.

Where I live in the sub-district city, we continue to cultivate the habit of using cooking utensils using traditional fuel, one of which is at certain moments such as wedding receptions and other activities. The community works together to support each other to provide a variety of cooking menus using wood dust as fuel.

By using this fuel which is put into an oil drum (used as a stove) you can cook various menus for 2500 portions of food. If calculated, it will save quite a lot of money because it is obtained for free at the wood processing factory.

On the other hand, in a different context, for example the world of work that has adopted technology that uses electrical energy, will actually experience problems, everyone will complain and be unprepared to face the fact that electricity will leave human civilization.

For household life, in general it can be handled without electricity, for example cooking using wood fuel (wood dust), scrubbing using charcoal and lighting lamps from jatropha fruit.

If electricity is indeed the energy that has left humanity, I think even if not ready, everyone should try to live it even in the worst conditions.

The reality that is happening will encourage humanity to utilize natural sources to support life without electricity. Another example is a spice grinder. Currently, blenders are the favorite for use as a grinder and spice grinder, but another alternative is to use a flat stone as a grinding medium.

In the 1980s, I experienced this phase when electricity was not yet widespread in all regions in Indonesia, currently every need is met without electricity, cooking without electricity and lighting using traditional lamps. All of this is very impressive when remembered today, and it is impossible that World War III will return human civilization to its previous era, without technology.
