The Diary Game: My Busy Day-Balancing Family, Work And More(08-10-2025)

Hello @steemit family, how are you doing? I am @imaken, a newcomer in this family and it gladdens my heart to share my diary with you today. As a mother, one thing I've made sure to do well is wake up early enough each day to prepare my family for the day, my husband works with moniepoint as a Business Relationship Manager and it is my job to get his meal ready before he leaves to work, my kids too needs to be in school and it's my obligation too to get them ready so by 5am while others were sleeping deeply asleep I woke up and began to do some chores and also prepare breakfast.

I finished preparing the meal and woke my babies up to have their bath, I also gave them something to eat. They like taking light meals in the morning so I gave them indomie and tea and before daddy was done preparing, we were all ready too and he dropped the kids in school before driving me to my shop. I got to the shop opened and began to clean it before my girl arrived and took over from me, I began work when the whole placed was cleaned and set up. A client has booked me for Gele tying for weekend so I wanted to try different styles to show my apprentice so she can have an idea of it before weekend, I did the first one on my dummy head before using my apprentice for the next style.

I became hungry and paused to have yet another breakfast, I had brought the remaining noodles with me to the shop and luckily it was still hot at the time I wanted to have it and that gave me more appetite to finish it within seconds, I detest cold indomie. I took my rest after having the meal and allowed my apprentice to attend to customers who came to make purchase, she at interval came to ask of price for items without price tags on the body.

In the afternoon after I had taken enough rest, I continued with the braided wig I have been working on for a while now. I will be the happiest when I round up this work, I've been very lazy with it considering my situation and I'm the type not to overwork myself, I will take my rest when the need arises. I kept working on the wig till a customer came for her makeover, it's her birthday tomorrow. She asked for a light and matte makeup which I handled excellently, she gushed severally over the makeup, called her photographer to know his location, made payment and left. Still in the afternoon, I went to get my kids from school when it was time. I had promised to take them home myself today after the complained about letting my apprentice take them home yesterday, they were not okay with it so I had to make it up to them.

In the evening, I packed my items into my shop and locked up for the day. I went home with my kids using public transit, I made dinner first when I reached home before taking my bath and also giving my kids their bath. We all had dinner as a family and it was time to do my kids home activities, my second baby was having difficulty in doing hers so I assisted her in doing it before I packed their books into their bags and took it to their room.

I asked the kids to go to bed so they will have enough rest and wake up early tomorrow to prepare for school, you know that saying "early to bed, early to rise" they didn't want to but when their dad yelled at them, they went to their room immediately. In summary, my morning activities was my preparation for the day, getting my family ready for work and school and also doing my work in the shop. My afternoon activities was still about work, braiding the wig I've been working on for days now and also bringing my kids back from school. In the evening, I locked the shop and went back home, made dinner for family and helped the kids with their home activities.
