Sports are as important as any other extracurricular activity. There's this saying that if you teach a fish to climb a tree, it'll fail. So we need to work on children separately. A kid who is good at science should be given more oppurtunities in science related activities whereas a child who's good at cricket for example, should be given proper cricket practice
