Sure enough, I concur with the statement "Communication skill is the power". It is a big wonder to imagine how the world and life, in general, would be without without adequate medium of communication or understanding. The implication is working in sequestration. There won't be any form of understanding amongst us whether at home, place of work, or any other establishment.

Take an instance from the bible. The citizens of Babel embarked on a project to build a tower that would reach heaven. They were on the verge of succeeding but the project came to an abrupt end because they encountered communication problems. They couldn't understand each other again and that was how the project was left unfinished.

Communication skills are powerful in our various worksteads. Powerful communication skill is a paramount requisite to issue out or receive and execute explicit instructions. It is additionally very necessary for adequate delegation of obligation.

Coming to our immediate environment and families, we cannot understand each other except via explicit communication. It is through this same avenue that obedience to teachings and instructions is effected. Communication with one another would make life better.

The various instances above clearly accentuate this fact. Due to communication deficiency determined men who came together to build and were succeeding abruptly abandoned their building project which has gone quite far. The absence of communication does more devastation.

There is a hierarchy and levels of authority in my workplace. How would I take instructions from my superiors or assign obligations to other staffers of the institution? This would be a difficult, if not impossible, deed resulting from the complication of communicating what is required in explicit terms.

Communication as we have currently has continued to advance with time. Our communication skills have equally improved via technological advancements which is dissimilar to what was obtainable before now.

In the past, we used to have very active postal services and letter writing was the order of the day. This however has given way for electronic means which we know has email. Mobile devices of this day have replaced the telephones of those days.

The very power of communication has bridged the gaps in distances, taking care of the barriers it posed, and bringing everyone closer by making the world a global village. We communicate and see each other in the comfort of our homes regardless of the distance. Video call features from our varied apps made this possible.

*How Can One Improve Their Communication Skills?*

Relentless Learning:

Learning they say never ends. No one is an island of knowledge and therefore our learning culture ought to be improved. This contributes to the improvement of our communication skills. Our learning shouldn't have any form of impediment as we can learn from anyone regardless of position or status.

Good communicators are the product of good listening. We respond better to whatever we have given an adequate listening ear. This turns us into good contemplators of our actions as well as our reactions.
