Social media has the following positive impacts to the society; Social media has been used to bring people together from all corners of the world, educate the public on various issues and share information within the shortest time possible while creating employment for the world’s creative geniuses and it can also be a tool for the marginalized groups to speak, support social change and movements as well as supplement education.

Also, social media enables social connections, and business development as well as pursuing job openings. Also, it helps users who are in problems for the access and usage of information to have a support system created from the other users. All in all, social networks, being a powerful tool influencing people’s lives and communication in the modern world, significantly contributed to its development being the primary messenger of positivity.

What are the evils caused by social media in our society?

The evils caused by social media in our society is increased cases of cyberbullying, spreading of misinformation, deterioration of the privacy of individuals and social media addiction. Bullying through these social forums such as facebook results to high degrees of psychological consequences that may even lead to suicides for the affected victims right now in my country Nigeria pastor's attack each other in social media and now we don't know who is real or fake they share of fake news on social platforms is increasing rapidly, swallowing people in false opinions and increasing social enmity, institutional cynicism, and demographic instability.

Additionally, social media platforms engage in data harvesting and selling, which remain a huge concern in as far as privacy is concerned. Social networking services are ill-suited for stimulating the addiction: they compromise the efficiency and lead to nervous breakdowns as well as cause estrangement with actual people. Collectively, these evils call for proper usage and most importantly control of the social media networks.

Is social media really useful for common people or corporate companies?

Social media is effective for the most ordinary people as well as for the large corporations but in a different manner. In reference to the common populace, social media offers them the opportunity to access friends, families and also access information and events of importance. It can also be used as an avenue of expressing oneself, of looking for people of like minds, and for networking.
