SC S25W2: Drawing Shonen Anime.
Greetings to everyone in this community and I hope all is well, it's @emmaboy23 from Nigeria here again and today I will like to share my drawing with you all on the contest SC S25W2: Drawing shonen anime. I do hope you all like it and many thanks to @jesusnunez for this contest, and I shall be drawing a main character in the dragon ball Z named Goku.
Shonen anime is known for its fast-paced action, larger-than-life characters, and dramatic arcs centered around personal development. Goku embodies these traits perfectly. His clenched fists and serious eyes suggest he's in the middle of an epic moment—perhaps about to face a powerful enemy or having just emerged victorious from a fierce battle and he is also the main characters in the story and that's why I decided to draw him. Below are the drawing steps.
Drawing materials
• A4 paper
• pencil
• eraser
• sharpener
• Hb pencil
• black pen
Drawing process
step 1
Firstly I started with the drawing he's head and hair, including his eyes, nose and mouth.

After doing that, I then went over to draw his shoulder and his chest as well, adding some shading techniques to it.

Next I then drew his hand and his warrior dress including his shots.
step 4
After doing that, I then made a sketch of the other hand and gave it some details to the body.
step 5
In this step, I then gradually used my black pen to carefully outline my drawing to make it look bold and visible.

Then finally, I then added my username and date at the bottom of my drawing and I also added some finishing touches to it to give it a better look and below is the final result.

In conclusion, this drawing of Goku is not just fan art—it’s a tribute to the core of Shonen anime. It honors the genre’s themes of endurance, transformation, and heart. Through every line and shadow, it tells the timeless story of a warrior who rises again and again, not for glory, but to defend and inspire—a true hero in the world of Shonen.

Observaciones y recomendaciones:
Escogiste recrear el personaje de Goku para este desafío el cual es característico del género Shonen e hiciste un boceto que te permitió obtener un buen resultado; como sugerencia ten en cuenta los detalles al momento de recrear el rostro, ya que esto puede hacer que no tenga el suficiente parecido con el personaje.
Fuiste muy minucioso al momento de agregar detalles en el cuerpo, esto te dió un buen resultado. Respecto al sombreado, si agregas algunas zonas de oscuridad e iluminación en tu dibujo, sobretodo en el área del cabello, obtendrías un resultado final aún mejor.
En líneas generales, lograste un buen trabajo.
