If you had the opportunity to settle overseas, which three countries would you choose?

I bring you greetings fellow stemians,in answering the question"If you had the opportunity to settle overseas,Which three countries would you choose" I will say that variation matters,this is because every person has there on preferences and every country has it's own good and bad points.

If I am opportuned to settle overseas,I would choose Austria,Singapore and Switzerland as my best picks.

Which first country do you wish to migrate to,and how does it's employment, rules and regulations, defense,and income benefit you?

The first country I would love to migrate to if the opportunity comes is Austria,I love this country with everything within me. I will make my analysis based on the following points.👇

Career opportunities for skilled employees.

Austria has a shortage of skilled workers in fields of electrical engineering, electronics,ICT and life sciences. This will be a great opportunity for any skilled person wishing to migrate to Australia.

That aside, Austria is also popular with many international companies as a strategic location for Eastern European business ties Which makes this firms to over exciting career opportunities. Worthy of note is it's membership with European Union.

Very good Social Security System

Here in Austria, there's good social security as people don't fall into poverty easily, this is evident in there system whereby self-employed people, salaried employees,

As well as their family members are protected by the mandatory insurance system. This services are financed on the basis of principles of solidarity whereby people with higher income finance services benefiting people with Lower income unlike my country (Nigeria).

Best Quality of Life

Another good reason is the quality of life it offers, life in Austria is particularly good as there's low crime rate, high level of social security and an appealing culture.

Austria has a well developed Infrastructure, excellent health care system,a clean environment and drinking water which fulfils highest quality standards.

It was recorded in 2019 that Vienna the capital city of Austria was rated as the most liveable City in the world by the international consulting company Mercer

From my recent resarch,I came to understand that Singapore is a very nice place to relocate to,the people of Singapore are so open minded to expatriates, below is my analysis of Singapore 👇

Business opportunity for expatriates

From my research,I found out that, whether you are running your own business or looking for a job with an existing business, Singapore has a business environment that is sure to work in your favor.

Now,as an employee looking for a job, getting work permit is very easy. Though Singapore has a highly talented workforce still they are hungry to acquire foreign talent and this have made them to accept work permits massively with high salaries.

Minimal Crime rate

In 2015, Singapore was ranked 8th in the world for countries with low crime rate. This is because Singapore has a strict punishment for bribery, during offences.

Outstanding Educational system

The government of Singapore spends 20% directly into education which makes Singapore a great place for anyone interested in continuing their education.

Low Tax rate

Singapore has a lower tax rate when compared with other countries of the world.

Switzerland is my third choice of where to migrate if the opportunity comes, Switzerland have good and beautiful landscapes etc. Below is my analysis 👇

Safety

Generally,you don't need to worry much about crime while living in Switzerland,from resarch,it shows that crimes like murder are rare with most years seeing less than 50 homicides.

Switzerland have rarely been involved in any military conflict for a very long time as it has a very strong documentation on non-alignment in any international affairs that would bring problem to it's people.

Lots of foreigners

Being in Switzerland as an expertrate is like being at home because to there are no foreigners there.

Work life Balance

Unlike my country where long working hours is the norm, it's not so with Switzerland.

For example,in terms of vacation, you can normally expect to receive four weeks or 20 days of paid leave per year. At least this will afford you time to relax and enjoy all that Switzerland has to offer.
