Why is gender equality necessary?
What does gender equality entail, and what are the advantages?

Gender equality refers to an equal treatment given to both men and women without having any thoughts of being partial. Everything that has to be done for men should also be acknowledged to be done to the women. Showing equality on both genders brings peace and harmony to the people in the society.

Gender equality entails showing no difference when it comes to matters of life, in my part of the world, women are been treated at low rate because they are women, women are not given rooms sometimes to air our their minds because community and culture does not permit that.

Truth be told, we are all humans and treating every human equally is of great advantage to all of us, when there is no indifference among men and women then there will be peace, understanding will be added and also, there will be an increment in love and selfless treatment between the both genders.

Is gender equality crucial for all people, not just women?

Gender equality is very crucial and important to all people. Look, sometimes I see perents treating their children differently, it is very bad and unspeakable of such a parent. The word equality is very important in every ramification and that will definitely lead to peaceful living among the gender.

In regardless of the gender, everyone should be treated in same rate and proportion, equivalent to animals around, let's be honest in treatment and punch out differences among ourselves. Women are special beings, men are also special beings, children of different gender are not also left out so, we can see that everyone is very important to be treated equally.

What are your thoughts on gender equality, specifically concerning the circumstances in your country?

I am the number one person to support the idea of gender equality because gender inequality is gradually becoming part of us and it's now looking like it's a culture that some should be treated differently from others especially in Africans.

Sometimes ago, there was an amount that was released by a chief to be shared among the community memebers. When it comes to sharing, it was agreed that women will take lesser amount than the men which is very bad, women went home murmuring because they are not happy with the decision and it was obvious that they had no option than to take whatever amount given to them.

How to educate our children to understand this issue?

Children are the future of tomorrow, infact children are the hope of every country so, I will be very glad and supportive if children will be educated on this very program so that they can grow up with the mindset and knowledge of treating each other equally irrespective of their gender.

Organizing forums to create awareness is one of the major ways to educate our children and young ones to grow with the mentality of treating themselves equally. Educating them through their academic classes as a subject will also be a strategy to build their minds as they grow up to treat each other equally in the family, community and world entirely.
